| The hunt & Anniversary
Ala puttered around the kitchen the next morning she was making a decent meal for Torvil and Jokar to eat before they left for the day to go hunting. she hummed contently to herself as she worked
Jokar was poking Torvil in the head. "Come on Uncle! Get up!"
Torvil slowly opened his eyes.
Ala hummed bringing two plates of meat to the table both cooked the same way as the night before, seared just enough to hold the juices in but not cooked through before turning and heading for the cupboard to find what she was craving....
Torvil and Jokar came out and sat down, both of them wolfing the food down.
Ala heard them eating and glanced at them with a smile as she cooked some oats with spices
Torvil chuckled. "Interesting choice there love..."
Ala shrugged "What I wanted to have" she said with a smile before serving herself adding brown sugar and moving to sit at the table
Torvil nodded. "Your cravings love..." He stood when finished. "Come along Jokar..."
Jokar nodded and got up as well.
Ala waved her spoon bye-bye at them since her mouth was full
Torvil smiled and waved back, heading out the door, whistling.
Ala worked around the house for a while then got changed and left the house. walking along a familiar path till she reached her destination
Torvil and Jokar spent the bulk of the day hunting, returning to the house with several dear and a wolf to their name.
Ala wasn't at the house when the two arrived back to the house
Torvil cleaned the kills and put up the meat, not really worrying about Ala right then.
By the time the kills were dealt with Ala still hadn't returned
Torvil tapped his chin. "She's probably at the special place." He said to himself, starting to make dinner.
Ala was indeed, she spent a good part of the day sitting on the hill thinking and at that moment was swimming in the water, her eyes fully green she stayed under it's surface for chunks of time simply relaxing. At first glance it might appear to someone that no one was there but had left their robe behind as she sat in the bottom of the spring
Torvil finished dinner and started to eat. "Perhaps I should go check on her soon... She's missing dinner..."
Jokar shrugged.
Ala was paying no attention to the time as she swam as she spent most of the time in the water... under it
Torvil finished dinner and told Jokar to stay put, heading down the path to find her.
Ala headed to the bottom of the spring around the time he was about to reach the crest of the hill overlooking the spring
Torvil took a quick look around and saw her robe. He headed for the spring, at a brisk walk.
Ala was collecting a few neat stones she found at the bottom, some of them had a shine to them
Torvil sat down at the edge of the stream.
Ala surfaced facing the falls looking at the stones in her hand with a smile
"Find some shinnies?" Torvil chuckled.
Ala started and spun around not realizing he was there her hand closing over her stones "I didn't know you were here" she said seeing him with her green eyes
Torvil chuckled. "Just got here..." He smiled. "And don't worry, I won't try and take the shinnies..."
Ala blushed and moved for the shallows
Torvil chuckled. "You're very pretty when you blush you know that?"
Ala chuckled and walked out of the shallows the water dripping down her body from her wet hair
Torvil smiled. "And you look great wet..."
Ala laughed and sat down beside him "Where's Jokar?"
"Home... I told him to stay put... He's playing in Torvin's room.
Ala nodded "Didn't think anyone would come looking for me" she said
"You missed dinner so I got a bit worried..."
Ala blinked and looked up "Geesh I didn't even realize it was that late" she said then got up walking over to pick up her robe, she put her stones in it's pocket as she pulled it on over her swimsuit
Torvil purred and moved, picking her up. "Then lets get you and bump fed..."
Ala nodded "Sounds like an idea, I've been here all day" she chuckled
Torvil smiled and started to run.
Ala laughed as she bounced a bit in his arms as he ran, her eyes returned to their normal color
Torvil purred and walked into their home.
Ala smiled cuddling against him in his arms
Torvil purred and put her down at the table.
Ala leaned on the table looking up at him
Torvil smiled and brought her some of the meat, that by some marvel was still warm
"Thanks love" she said as she started to eat
Torvil smiled and leaned back, listening to Jokar play
"Sounds like he's having fun... did you two have a good hunt?" she asked
Torvil nodded. "That would be one of our prey." he smiled, pointing at her plate.
"Nice catch" she said and turned her attention to the meat finishing it up
Torvil smiled. "Jokar got that one... He's a little brute!"
Ala laughed "Sounds like a good hunter"
Torvil nodded. "He'll probably become one..."
Ala nodded "Would suit him"
Torvil smiled. "Seeing as his family is full of them... yes.."
Ala chuckled "It'll be interesting for Mikiri I'm sure,.... Used to seeing her children grow and she's missing a whole week or so of this one... think he'll ever become a winged?"
Torvil chuckled. "I doubt it..."
"why not?" she asked
Torvil chuckled. "Because, he doesn't seem to be..."
"Be what hun?" she asked blinking
"Winged... He'd be getting rather close..."
Ala nodded slowly "You never know love, I doubt you ever expected me to be one, and neither of us knew whether to expect it of the twins"
Torvil nodded. "It'd be a very lucky event if he did..." He chuckled and brushed her hair, listening to the boy crawl into bed and continue playing
Ala nodded "Ya never know what will happen. Life can hold many twists and turns... just look at me... " she said pointing at herself with the tip of her spaded tail
Torvil chuckled. "Good point there love... Good point there..."
Ala smirked and stood up "I doubt when you married me you expected me to become as much of a dragon as I have" she said looking at him
Torvil purred. "I was overjoyed though..." He moved to her and scooped her up, heading for their room, the sounds from Torvin's room had ceased
Ala laughed "Our room was my destination I have stuff to add... to my you know what" she blushed lightly
Torvil chuckled. "Alright love..."
Ala blushed a little more at his chuckle she'd still not gotten used to the fact that he knew she had been collecting things
Torvil purred and put her down on the bed, reaching under the bed and handing her her box
Ala laughed, "Thanks love" she said taking it and after a moment opening is and reaching in her pocket pulling the few stones out and dropping them in
Torvil smiled and flopped down on the bed next to her.
Ala stared at her little collection for a moment then closed the lid and looked at him
Torvil smiled and waved at her.
"Waving at me now?" she said with a giggle
Torvil chuckled and lay on his back. "Sure..."
Ala laughed and put the box on the floor pushing it under with her foot "What's Jokar doing? he's awful quiet"
Torvil smirked. "I think he fell asleep...."
"I still think anything is possible. how old is he now anyways I never did get around to asking Mikiri...." she mused
"I would guess a few days... at most..."
Ala chuckled "Surprised a woman who has never once left the cliffs let her son who is barely a few days old leave"
Torvil chuckled. "She's changed..."
"Will be the day that she ever leaves though I would imagine" Ala flopped backwards laying on the bed beside him
Torvil shrugged. "I don't know love... I really don't.
Ala closed her eyes and nodded
Torvil sighed and yawned.
"Tired?" she mumbled
Torvil shrugged. "Not really... Bored out of my skull..."
"Oh..." Ala said simply
Torvil chuckled and turned his head towards her, eyes still closed. "I feel like cuddling..."
"Then cuddle" she said softly
Torvil rolled over and hugged her around the waist, burring his face into her hair.
Ala smiled softly and purred just as softly
Torvil smiled and matched her purr with one of his own.
"I love you" she said softly
Torvil smiled. "I love you too."
Ala smiled softly opening her eyes and looking at him
Torvil smiled and leaned in slowly, kissing her nose.
Ala chuckled kissing his chin
Torvil purred and finally pulled her into a normal kiss.
Ala purred, returning his kiss happily
Torvil purred and broke the kiss slowly, nuzzling her face softly.
"Love you" she whispered as he nuzzled her
Torvil purred. "Love you too..."
Ala purred softly closing her eyes again cuddling him
Torvil purred and cuddled with her happily.
"What are we going to do this evening besides cuddle?" she asked softly
Torvil chuckled. "I don't know..."
Ala nodded trying to think of something to do herself
Torvil nuzzled her softly.
Ala purred softly and gave up she couldn't think of anything to do right then
"Lets see... We could eat... Talk?"
"We could talk, got any topic suggestions?" she asked opening an eye
Torvil chuckled. "Not a one..."
"Well we just ate so that one is out...." she sighed and opened her second eye and looked up at the ceiling
Torvil chuckled softly. "Well, let us talk of bump..."
Ala nodded "Ok.. Uhmmmm" she wasn't sure where to start talking
Torvil smiled. "How long do you figure till bump joins us outside of you..."
Ala shook her head "I don't really know, it's so hard to even guess with 2 types of heritages so very different"
Torvil nodded slowly. "Well hopefully soon..." He chuckled, rubbing her tummy.
Ala looked down at her belly "I have a feeling it's got a fair amount more to grow" she mused
Torvil nodded slowly. "Which is fine... But for me... Sooner is better... I wanna hold the little one..." He smiled softly
Ala nodded "Same here" she agreed
Torvil brushed her hair and smiled. "I wonder thought, are we ready for such a long haul..."
"I'll love and care for this child no matter how long it takes them to grow up" she said quietly
Torvil nodded. "Same here love... Same here..."
Ala looked over at him with a smile
Torvil smiled and brushed her hair.
Ala wasn't entirely sure what to talk about so she simply smiled at him
Torvil smiled and kissed her nose again. "You're so pretty..."
"Thankyou Torvil my love" she said
Torvil smiled, and kissed her cheek.
Ala cuddled closer letting herself drift off
Torvil smiled and brushed her hair
Ala fell sleep against him tiredly
Torvil closed his eyes listening to her sleep.
Ala slept softly against him a small smile resided on her face
Torvil smiled and watched her sleep for a time.
Ala stirred and woke a while later
Torvil smiled. "Good sleep?"
Ala nodded "I just felt tired" she said
Torvil nodded and brushed her hair. "That's okay"
Ala smiled "You really did startle me earlier" she said softly
Torvil chuckled, and nuzzled her. "Wasn't my intent..."
"Was much lower in the water till I surfaced" she said with a nod
Torvil chuckled. "I noticed..."
"Oh" she said looking down
Torvil smiled, and kissed her forehead. "Hey, as long as you were having fun..."
"looking at .... shiny stuff..." she mumbled
Torvil smiled softly. "Love... I like shinnies too..." He nuzzled her forehead.
Ala nodded "I know.... I'm just not used to the fact that I do... and that I've told anyone"
Torvil smiled. "You know what drives me up the wall..." He said softly, feeling a hot flush of a blush starting to build up on his face. "Tin foil..."
Ala looked at him "Tin foil?" she blinked
Torvil nodded. "It's so shiny and glittery in any sort of light..." He said softly.
Ala chuckled "I can only imagine"
Torvil nuzzled her softly.
"I haven't found anything that makes me feel that way about it... but I kinda got into make the crystals" she said quietly
Torvil smiled. "It's nothing to be embarrassed about..."
Ala nodded slowly "Still not used tot he fact I've told ... well.... anyone.... you or your mother..."
Torvil chuckled. "Hell, everybody does it love... We show our lovers, and well... Stuff happens..." He chuckled.
Ala nodded staring at his chest
Torvil smiled and brushed her hair, then leaned in and kissed her forehead.
Ala smiled softly when he kissed her head
Torvil brushed her cheek. "I'm taking Jokar home tomorrow... Will you fare okay alone?"
Ala nodded "Yeah, I'll probably clean house and shop then go to the spring again"
Torvil nodded and smiled. "Okay... I sensed that he was starting to grow bored of the novelty here and wanted to go home..."
"He probably misses his mom, she says he spends most of his time in the cave with her" Ala mused
Torvil nodded. "That too... He kept asking if we can bring the wolf back to his mother..." He chuckled. "I told him all but the meat... That's what we had for dinner..."
Ala chuckled "So he's taking the pelt back then"
"And the teeth and bones..." Torvil smirked. "all but the meat..."
Ala laughed "All but the meat... "
Torvil nuzzled her and nipped her ear softly.
Ala sighed softly cuddling against him
Torvil nuzzled her ear for a moment and just rested against her, holding her as close as bump would let him. "Love ya"
"Love you too" she said softly as she cuddled
Torvil purred and put a hand on bump.
Ala smiled "Now what love, I'm not really sure what time it is... but I know you have a flight tomorrow..."
Torvil chuckled. "I should probably get some rest yes..."
Ala nodded and rested her head on his chest
Torvil smiled and brushed her hair as he shut his eyes, entering more of a trance than sleep.
Ala closed her eyes and let herself doze off
Torvil woke early the next morning and went to get Jokar, flying off and leaving Ala a note letting her know he'd be back soon.
Ala woke and looked around, it took her a moment before she remembered where he'd be going even before finding his note. Alone for a good portion of the day she set about her business starting with food
Torvil actually had a cheap trick he was going to use to get home early and surprise Ala... With some shinnies...
Ala stared around her house "clean already" she mumbled after a short time and went outside letting her wings spread and lifting onto the shop and staring in the direction of the cliffs
Torvil suddenly appeared next to her, shivering like a mad fiend, and barely able to stand. "Whoa!"
His sudden appearance scared her she really wasn't expecting him to show up like that. having been simply balancing on the very top edge of the pointed area of the roof she started to fall
Torvil reached out and grabbed her, pulling her to him as he spread his wings and got them safely to the ground.
Ala's eyes were still wide even as her feet touched the ground safely
Torvil smiled. "I cheated..." He chuckled. "Took some convincing to get Jokar to shut his eyes..."
"Wha?..." Ala was still dazed from nearly falling off the roof
Torvil chuckled. "I went other side... Distance there is screwy..."
"Uh... k" she was trying to figure what he was telling her
Torvil chuckled and went into greater detail.
"I flew Jokar a bit away, and then took me and him other side... I then exited at the caverns, re entered, and came back..."
Ala nodded "Ok.." she stared at him
Torvil chuckled. "And I brought you these..." He opened his hand to reveal some gems.
Ala looked at his hand to see what it was and stared for a moment before reaching towards them, a small smile playing on her lips
Torvil smiled and waited for her to take them.
Ala took them in her hand and turned her hand over to look at them more "Thanks" she said quietly running a finger over their surfaces
Torvil smiled. "thought you would like them..."
Ala nodded still staring at them, they were pretty... and shiny... and not at all like her pale blue transparent water crystals
Torvil chuckled. "They're from other side..."
Ala finally looked up at him "They are?"
Torvil nodded.
"They're pretty... and...." she was whispering as she looked back at the gems
Torvil smiled and moved over to hug her.
Ala face had a smile playing on it has he moved closer to her
Torvil smiled and wrapped his arms around her.
Ala closed her hand around the gems and cuddled into his hug
Torvil purred and kissed her cheek.
"Love you" Ala said with a smile as she looked up at him
Torvil purred. "Love ya too..."
"Shall we go inside or?" Ala asked him
Torvil chuckled. "Up to you love..."
"I have a feeling there might be more still I should know, especially since I've been picking up the habits of your people" she said quietly
Torvil chuckled. "Hording is compulsive... A lot of the time you will feel compelled to pick up shiny things... It's a rush..."
"That's not all I mean though... back at the cliffs you said I was beginning to act like your kind...." she sighed "never mind" she mumbled
Torvil smiled and nuzzled her softly. "No... You were very much so..." He purred.
Ala just nodded quietly
Torvil picked her up. "You are definitely becoming more like me as time goes on... And I'm glad for that..."
Ala nodded slowly "Wish I knew what that meant exactly" she mumbled
Torvil sat her down on their bed a bit later. "It means..." He took a deep breath. "That you are acting more like I do, being more and more influenced by your compulsions and instincts..."
Ala nodded slowly looking up at him
Torvil smiled and brushed her hair.
"Still so much I have a feeling I don't know.... even though it feels like I should" she said with a sigh
Torvil brushed her hair. "Give me a little bit to think..."
Ala nodded and just rested against him opening her hand again to look at the gems he had given her
Torvil smiled. "Where to start..."
"Doesn't matter to me" she said softly "I mean I look at it and I didn't even know what one of the more important traditions I guess it might be considered of your kind meant" she said using her free hand to touch her hair
Torvil chuckled. "Well... Marriage is rather haphazard..." He chuckled. "You get married, and you have kids..."
Ala bit her lip at the sound of his chuckles, It didn't seem like that small of a deal when she mentioned to Mikiri what had happened
Torvil frowned suddenly. "Unless you're an ass and don't notice... Then you get in trouble..." He sighed. "And it gets you a black eye... and chewed out by your sister in front of your nephew..."
"Chewed out?" she asked looking at him she knew he got a black eye and that she had hauled him out of the cave roughly and back...
Torvil sighed. "Today... She gave me quite the talking too before she let me come back..."
Ala blinked then looked hack at her hands "Oh..." she said quietly biting her lip again
Torvil brushed her hair. "My fault for not noticing.."
Ala nodded slowly... "And there I was thinking I was just getting upset cause you didn't notice something different" she mumbled
Torvil brushed her hair. "I'm sorry..." He said softly, hugging her to him. "I love you, and I married you because I do..."
Ala nodded "I know you did love.... I probably shouldn't have flipped out, I just couldn't help it my mood turned in that direction and flowed. I had a couple things sprung on me this last weekend that I really wasn't expecting and not knowing enough about our kind well they greatly shocked me"
Torvil sighed. "I'm sorry I haven't told you..." He sighed. "The truth is..." He looked down at his feet. "I don't know that much at all..."
"You know more then I do... and being you lived there, even if it was in hiding you've experienced more' she said with a sigh
Torvil sighed and pulled her to him. He then went about telling her all that he knew...
Ala listened to his words most of it sort of general knowledge a couple things you might not know 'less you spent a lot of time there.. she nodded slowly as he spoke
Once he finished he hugged her close. "Sorry that I didn't fill you in..."
Ala nodded once again "It's ok... I guess... Things have been strange for both of us these past few months I'm sure... I doubt you thought the woman you fell for would ... well become your kind, to things like your kind etcetera"
Torvil purred and hugged her as tight as he dared. "But I love you, regardless of what you are... I love you for you..."
"I love you for you... and honestly I don't know /what/ I am totally anymore I feel like I'm such a mix of.. everything" she said with a sigh
Torvil brushed her hair. "Do you regret the changes..." He said softly..."
Ala shook her head "No, I don't. I just don't really know what to consider myself anymore, what to expect, what will come from my kind what will come from yours...."
Torvil brushed her hair. "We'll figure it out eventually..."
"Yeah we will" she glanced at the clock and sighed softly then got up from his lap and walked over to their window and looked out
Torvil sat where he sat, and sighed. "I wish I could help you more... I just want you to be happy..."
"When I'm not feeling moody I am happy" she said and walked towards the armoire that had been brought in from the shop when they built the house and pulled open a door, in essence from the angle it was in comparison to Torvil it blocked the view of most of Ala and what she was doing even when the sound of something metal was being picked up
Torvil watched, wondering what she was doing...
Ala didn't move away from the armoire, she was looking at what she was holding even though her body was mostly hidden so that wasn't obvious what she was holding, she sniffled
Torvil got up and moved over slowly.
Ala was staring at the silver goblet that resided in that cabinet beside the two headpieces she never wrapped them back up after they had gotten married. she just had them sitting alone on a shelf
Torvil smiled and hugged her from behind. "I remember that night... It started it all..." He kissed her cheek and brushed her hair. "That was the happiest night of my life..."
"Three months ago" she whispered running a finger along the design in it's surface, the red from his blood when they had been mixed still was on the goblet dried inside and around it's rim a few drops had dried along it's outer surface
Torvil smiled. "Like it was yesterday..." He said softly, watching her. "That day... I knew I would be with you forever..." He said softly. He smiled at it. "We are one... My blood is your blood..." He kissed her ear. "Forever shall we be as one..."
Ala smiled softly using a free hand to wipe the pink from her cheeks as she tilted it towards her looking inside the goblet
Torvil smiled. "My mark upon it. Red on silver..." He smiled and nuzzled her. "I can feel the magic of it..." He purred. "Feel the bond of our marriage..." He kissed her cheek. "The bond I will never break..."
Ala nodded and reached placing the goblet back on it's shelf where it sat between the 2 headpieces that shone in the light of the room
Torvil smiled and brushed her cheek with his hand. "I love you."
"Love you too" she said softly looking at the headpieces
Torvil smiled. "I have at surprise for you..."
Ala looked over her shoulder at him "You do?"
Torvil nodded and let go of her, heading out of the room.
Ala blinked looking after him then went to put the gems away with the rest of her horde while she waited
Torvil returned with his hands behind his back.
Ala closed the lid of the box and pushed it where it belonged before looking to him
The first thing Torvil did, was show his left hand, that was full of crimson roses.
Ala smiled softly and took him from him as she stood up
Torvil smiled and showed his right, which contained a small burgundy box.
Ala raised a brow and looked at the box "What is it?"
Torvil smirked and opened it. "I was doing some shopping in Barton the other day..." It was a ring... A simple gold band. "And I just happened to find something in your size..."
The ring caught her eye quite easily as the case opened "ooooooo" she smiled
Torvil smiled. "And I would suggest wearing it.... and not shoving it in the box..."
Ala blushed brightly at this
Torvil chuckled softly and slipped the ring onto her left ring finger.
Ala smiled and looked at the ring on her finger turning her hand over and over looking at it from all sides before looking up at him and pulling him into a kiss
Torvil purred. That wasn't /all/ of it... Not by a long shot.
Ala broke the kiss smiling at him
Torvil purred. "Now wait here... I'll be back in but a moment..."
He hurried out of the room again.
Ala blinked and nodded "Ok" she looked around for something to put the roses in
Torvil returned his arms laden with boxes.
Ala had found a forgotten vase and put the roses in and filled it with Kerrsalian water. She looked up when he returned and her eyebrows shot up
Torvil chuckled. "I told you, went shopping..." He put all the boxes down on the bed.
Ala stared "What is it all????" she asked
Torvil chuckled and opened the first box. "This would be a gold choker necklace..." He put it down on the bed in a separate pile. "This one..." He took the next. "Would be a gold bracelet..."
Ala stared at the items slowly walking closer
"Lets see... Ah yes... This..." A slightly larger box. "Is the gold Tiara..." He put it aside. "And this... is the second bracelet..."
Ala stood a couple feet away wide-eyed... not just from shock but from the attraction of it all
"oh, and here's the anklets... And the belly chain... Which will probably never see the light of day till bump is born... I expect you to wear these love, I will be very miffed if they just end up under our bed..."
Ala blushed even brighter then earlier, he seemed to be teasing her about her little horde
Torvil smiled. "Oh... and the piece de' resistance..." He held up a tail ring. "this one took forever to find..."
Ala quirked a brow "and how does that work...." she said looking down at the spaded tip of her tail
Torvil smirked and opened it.
Ala looked back at him then smiled. Her hands were fidgeting against her belly
"Well you gonna put them on my queen? Or should I just put them in royal storage under the bed..."
Ala reached and took the one from his hand looked at it a moment then snapped it closed around her tail and turned and walked away across the room looking out the window again her arms folded. he obviously hadn't figured out over-teasing a moody woman was not a very good thing to do her tail moved around behind her in an agitated manner
Torvil sighed, and stood, walking over, his hand resting on her shoulder lightly. "What did I do..." He asked softly. He had not been intending to tease her.
"I'm moving it tomorrow" she said in an irritated voice
Torvil winced. "I didn't mean it..." He winced openly. "I wasn't trying to tease you..." He sighed. "I just really want to see you in what I bought..." He sighed.
"You've been teasing me all night about it." she said
Torvil sighed. "I didn't know you were touchy about it... If I had...know I wouldn't have said anything..." He moved his hand, and took a step back. "I'm sorry, I did not mean to upset you..."
Ala turned looking at him "Much as we are husband and wife, much as I love you which is more then I can ever state, it took a lot of courage for me to admit I had been collecting that stuff. Especially after giving you a hard time about yours after you bought the TV"
Torvil looked at his feet. "Sorry..." He said softly, feeling really bad about it now.
"I may be becoming more and more Dragonic both in physical and mental. But the Kerrsalian side of me still pokes its head out too... The only thing Kal says they collect is texts... teachings.. lessons, scrolls... nothing like what I had been collecting. You didn't even know I had it before I admitted it did you"
Torvil sighed. "No... I didn't..." He said weakly, and fished into his pocket, touching the last present he had planed on giving her. It was more symbolic than anything else, but now he was starting to doubt she would accept it...
"I had been hiding it. Much as I don't regret the changes my body has taken... I still hadn't come to grips with the fact that I was getting attracted to things I'd never been before" she said quietly looking at the floor
Torvil sighed and pulled out a small key from his pocket. He moved closer to her and put it in her hand, closing it around it. "That's to my horde..." He whispered softly, then turned away. "If you need me... I'll be curled up in a ball on the living room couch counting how many ways I hurt you today, and how many ways I need to try to make it better..." He sighed, and headed for the living room.
Ala sank to her knees as he left the room, not because of what had happened, not because of the teasing, not even because he was leaving the room, but more out of shame as she stared at the key in her hand her eyesight becoming blurry as she cried
Torvil froze two steps. He turned on his heel and was beside her before her tears even formed properly. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to him, burring his face in her hair.
Ala cried into his chest openly, the pink tears starting to soak the soft fabric of his shirt
Torvil brushed her hair and hummed softly, rocking her gently back and forth.
It took a while before Ala started to calm down and her crying slowly started to come to a stop
Torvil brushed her hair, and would do so till her crying abated. "I'm sorry..." He whispered. "This is my fault for being a shit-head and teasing you..."
Ala's tears came to a stop "You're forgiven" she mumbled into his chest
Torvil brushed her hair. "That key is yours..." It had been his... But he had decided that she needed it more...
Ala pulled away a little so she could look up at him with her pink stained eyes "Why" she asked softly
Torvil brushed her cheek. "Because..." He said softly. "I love you... and My horde is your horde..." He said in a bare whisper. "Like my body, my horde is yours... Like my heart, my horde is yours..." He kissed her forehead softly.
"But....." she looked down at her hand, her tail moved and made a soft clink sound as it hit the hardwood floor of their room
"But what love..." He said softly, his hand brushing the remnants for her tears away.
"But you've been collecting it for... well I don't know how long....." she mumbled
Torvil smiled softly. "And I still can..." He said softly. "But I want you to have it..." He said softly. "I have given you everything I possibly could save that... And now, it is all I have left to give, save my life, which I gave you the day I agreed to be your husband..."
Ala sat silently staring at the key not entirely sure what to say to him
"If you don't want it... Then that's okay..." He brushed her hair softly.
Ala stared for a time longer before attempting to find the right words "You've already given me so much, I.... As much as the thought of shiny stuffs is... tempting.... Torvil I don't know that I could take everything you've ever collected and feel right here" she said quietly pointing at her heart
Torvil nodded, and kissed her forehead softly, right on the gem. "Alright..." He said softly.
"I'm sorry" she said quietly "Deep down, even though we really didn't talk a ton about hordes... deep down I know it's a big thing to do...."
Torvil nodded slowly. "No need to be sorry love..." He smiled softly. "No need to be sorry at all..."
Ala slowly looked up at him her eyes filled mostly with the shame she had been feeling since he had put the key in her hand
Torvil touched her cheek lightly. "Why shame..." He whispered softly.
"Because.... because I was .... being moody over something... something that was somewhat trivial.... and here you were about to give me .... everything" she looked down again
Torvil smiled, and nuzzled her softly. "Love, it's understandable..." He hugged her tight to him. "You've been moody of late, and I'm sure it has something to do with bump..."
"Probably does, I never used to be moody.... I just... I don't know... the littlest things have been setting me off.... even if I try to not let them...." she mumbled
Torvil smiled softly and brushed her cheek. "Love it's okay..."
Ala nodded slowly and buried her face into his shoulder in the hug, her tail moved lazily behind her the metal made a dragging sound on the wood
Torvil smiled and hugged her tight. "I love you... More than even my pathetic vocabulary can express..."
"I love you too, more then I could ever say" she said pushing her hand slowly into his pocket
Torvil smiled and kissed her forehead.
Ala dropped the key into it before pulling her hand back out and moving it around him instead
Torvil purred.
Ala looked up at him "Thankyou for understanding..." she said quietly referring to why she dropped the key back into his pocket
Torvil smiled and kissed her forehead. "Love... I would have been overjoyed either way..." He brushed her hair.
This confused Ala and it showed, after all he just tried to give her something and she chose to decline the gift
Torvil nuzzled her face softly. "Now I have a horde... And you have one as well... Had you accepted you would have had a giant horde, and I would have the worlds most sexiest wife..."
Ala flushed she knew he wasn't teasing this time "Your mother stopped me from saying how big it was... yours that is..." she mumbled
Torvil chuckled. "That would be like telling her how big my..." he bit his lip.
"She asked how much of a horde I had though....." she said tilting her head to one side
Torvil chuckled. "That's different... That's like you and here comparing..." He coughed.
Ala looked at the floor "We didn't compare... Besides I'm sure mine is puny in comparison to a woman who has been collecting all her life"
Torvil chuckled. "It's okay... yours will get bigger..." he had to stop himself from snorting. "Ugh... Deja-vu..."
Ala looked up and raised a brow "deja-vu?"
Torvil chuckled. "I remember telling Vin that..."
Ala chuckled "I can only imagine.... I haven't a clue the value of what's in that box of mine... I... I just .... collected..."
Torvil smiled. "Its not so much the value as the size..."
"ppff then mines pathetic" she said pulling away and walking slowly towards all the shiny stuff he had laid out on the bed
Torvil smiled. "Don't worry... I've seen smaller..."
Ala said nothing, the comment didn't really make her feel better about the size of her horde as she picked up one of the items he had placed there
Torvil got up and moved beside her, kissing the back of her head. "Besides, I don't love you because of your horde... I love you for you..."
Ala smiled softly looking over her shoulder at him "Nor I you for yours... " /but it's still pathetic/ she added to herself in her mind
Torvil nuzzled her.
Ala smiled softly accepting his nuzzles as her hands played with the fine metal that made up the waist chain
Torvil smiled. "Have to wait till bumps out for that I think..."
Ala nodded "Yeah I don't think it'd fit right about now"
Torvil smiled and brushed her hair.
"Hard to admit something you are still coming to grips with yourself" she mused looking back at all the items
Torvil nodded slowly.
"Felt... well almost strange... Cooking food normally... next thing you know you are tempted to raid the pans cupboard" she said very quietly
Torvil smiled softly. "Now you know how I feel..."
"Cept it's natural for you.... it wasn't natural to me till I suddenly started feeling it shortly after you brought Mikiri and Malkar back" she said with a sigh
Torvil brushed her hair. "I know love... I know.."
"I never know what to expect with this body of mine, it's already thrown me for many loops" she said looking up at him
Torvil nodded, and kissed her hair softly. The next thing he knew he was chewing on it lightly.
Ala blinked and looked at him giving him a 'what on earth' look
Torvil stopped. "Okay... Now that was odd..."
"What is love? besides you eating my hair..." she blinked
Torvil nodded. "Yes... Me... eating your hair... odd..."
"Very....." she said pulling her hair over her shoulder opposite his face
Torvil frowned suddenly feeling as if something important had been taken away.
Ala turned in his arms looking at his face her own was mere inches from his
Torvil's eyes met hers and his feeling of loss melted as he leaned in for a kiss.
Ala met his kiss closing her eyes contently as she deepened it
Torvil purred and held it, then leaned into it more.
Ala's hand moved to the back of his neck holding him close
Torvil purred contently into the kiss.
Ala held him in the kiss for a long time before slowly breaking from it
Torvil nuzzled her and lay them down in bed.
Ala smiled and cuddled against him happily, all problems of earlier basically out of her mind
Torvil nuzzled her softly as he cuddled with her, pulling the covers up over them.
"Love you" she murmured closing her eyes and cuddling as close as she could
Torvil smiled. "Love ya too..."
Ala drifted off to sleep
Torvil kissed her forehead, and planed to listen to her sleep.
