Torvil smiled and soon they reached his' mother's and father's cave. He stuck his head in. "Hello, anyone home?" He called with a smile. "In the kitchen son! Be out in a minute!" Mitizimi called.

Ala placed Surion down as she entered the cave, which in itself may have been a mistake if they wanted to keep him close cause he automatically took off in the direction of his Grandmother's voice

Torvil chuckled and watched as his mother came out and saw Surion.

She smiled and knelt down. "It looks like someone grew..." She smiled and opened his arms for him. "Come give Grams a hug!"

"Gamma!" he cried happily and almost literally threw himself into her arms wrapping his arms around her neck

Ala chuckled and shook her head "Hi Mom" she greeted her mother in law

Mitizimi smiled and stood, holding Surion close with a smile. "Hi Ala-dear, how are you?" She beamed brushing Surion's hair with her fingers. She seemed to be glowing a little.

Torvil smiled and leaned on the wall of the cave, happy to see his mother.

"We're well, here for a while, not sure exactly how long, but a while, till he grows and does his hunt" she said with a smile

Surion cuddled against his grandmother enjoying her attention

Mitizimi smiled and brushed his hair more. "I'm glad you guys are going to be around." She moved her hand down and patted his back smiling. "You might get to watch Torvil's siblings grow up..." She murmured. her free arm going to her stomach. Torvil's eyes went wide... for a moment.

Ala chuckled "More siblings, this should be interesting" she said and looked over at her mate

Surion looked up at his grandmother with a big grin his tail moving happily behind him

Mitizimi smiled at him and kissed his forehead. "Well It'll be good to see you guys, you staying long here?" She asked softly.

"Well we're looking for a bigger cave, and we were going to drop Surion off at Mikiri's..." He said softly.

"Little Man needs more room, a room of his own, the newlywed cave can only fit a family for so long" Ala said with a chuckle

Mitizimi nodded and smiled. "Yeah I know..." She rubbed her tummy then went back to stroking Surion's hair, then finally put him down. "If you could stop by before tomorrow... I shouldn't be in labor...." She smiled softly.

Torvil nodded slowly and smiled.

Surion looked up at her smiling "Gamma happy" he said with a giggle he said seeing her expression

"We'll try, and it's likely we will see the growth, I don't expect this stay at the cliffs to be really short" she told her

Mitizimi smiled and kissed the top of his head. "Yes, Grams happy..." She purred and then stood. Torvil nodded and smiled.

Surion giggled and ran a few circles around her legs before running towards his father

Torvil chuckled and knelt down ready to snag him when he got there.

Mitizimi smiled happily.

Surion ran headlong into his father's arms giggling the entire way, he had plenty of energy to burn

Ala chuckled and shook her head glad to be leaving Surion with her sister in law to burn that energy

Torvil chuckled and got up, heading out of the cave with a smile and a wave at his mother.

Mitizimi waved back and headed back into the kitchen. "Have a good day!"

"You have a relaxing day mom" Ala said and smiled then followed after Torvil

Surion waved over his father's shoulder "byebye Gamma!"

"Bye, Bye Surion!" She giggled as he left, that boy made her so happy...

Torvil smiled and held Surion. "Now to Mikiri's place..." he chuckled.

Ala nodded "That's interesting, you looked shocked for a moment when you heard her news" she mused as they walked

Torvil chuckled. "I never figured I'd be around to see my sibs when they were little..." he chuckled weakly.

Ala chuckled "Well chances are you'll see most if not all of their growth, I don't know when Surion will grow, and we are here till he has his hunt"

Torvil nodded. "And may Visha grant it comes none too soon..." He murmured softly, knowing full well what it entailed.

"He'll grow when it's his time to, when he's ready, and then You will help him prepare and do his hunt. I'm sure it's tough and I wont ask about it, it's not my place" she said with a nod

Torvil nodded and smiled. "Thank you for understanding love... I hate to admit it... But they're monster secretive..." He rubbed Surion's back as they walked. "Healers... Not so much..."

"I don't think the healers here would much like me joining their ranks though it's probably what I'd be more suited to, only 'hunting' I've ever done per say was when we went into the under caves" she said

Surion watched where they were walking a curious look on his face

Torvil chuckled softly, "You'd be surprised love... I'm sorry to say that our family has been cursed with meeting the worst of the lot... There are some that are said to have powers like yours, but are only allowed them in emergencies... But again, hearsay..." He chuckled when he caught a glimpse of Surion's face.

"I'll hang back unless I'm directly asked to be a part of these things, preferably by an Elder" Ala said with a nod

Surion's eyes took in his surroundings he was rather in a curious mood

Torvil smiled. "Yeah... Probably a good idea...." He bit his lip and nodded, he didn't want to say too much more, he was toeing the line a bit as it was. "Oh look!" He chuckled, nearing Mikiri's place, there was already a large gaggle of children waiting for, 'The Leader'

Ala laughed "They come in flocks here I swear"

Surion squirmed in his father's arms trying to get down as soon as he saw more kids to play with "Down"

Torvil chuckled and put him down. "At least get your cousin first..." he chuckled weakly.

Surion took off in the direction of the other kids and his cousin's doorway as soon as his feet touched the ground

Ala chuckled and moved closer putting her arm around Torvil's waist

Torvil purred. "We should at least make sure Mikiri knows that he's here... So she knows when to get him for lunch..." he said softly. "Then we can find our new house..." He wrapped an arm around her too.

"Course" Ala said with a nod

Surion approached the group and slowed looking around them his tail moving excitedly

The Children smiled and were holding back from charging the cave only because they knew they would get in trouble... However, once they spotted Surion. "Jakath's cool cousin!" They cried... And swarmed.

Torvil chuckled. "He's sure popular..."

Ala laughed "I wish it was something other then his body parts that made him popular" she mused

Surion didn't see his cousin "Sur be back" he said matter of factly and took a sniff and without a hesitation bolted into Mikiri's cave yelling his cousin's name

Jakath darted out of his room, hopping into his pants. "Coming!" He called as he slipped on his shoes once he finished.

Torvil chuckled softly and kissed her ear. "That will change in time..."

Ala chuckled and nodded "Perhaps we should save your sister from our hollering son?"

Surion was in fact hollering, running a few circles around his cousin and trying to get him to play with him, and not being at all quiet about it

Torvil chuckled. "Perhaps..."

Jakath smiled and hopped up and down. "Outside! Outside! Play outside!" He grabbed his cousin's wrist and bolted.

Ala shook her head "Kids" she laughed

Surion raced after his cousin "Yayy!!!!" he cried out

Torvil chuckled. "Grow up fast, so let them have their fun while they still don't have to worry..." He kissed her cheek. "Lets go find Mikiri and then go shop..."

Jakath led him out into the swarm of children again, but didn't stop, the crowd just moved with them wherever they went, the two girls from before were the closest to them tho, and no one dare get nearer than they allowed.

Surion had forgotten about the flower, so it was furthest from his mind as he ran with his cousin a big grin on his face

Jakath however had not, and tried with all his might to shake the girls, failing at every attempt, in fact, all he succeeded in doing was shaking the main group. He sighed and kept moving, and soon they were in an area that he knew they were stuck, any farther, and they would reach the ramp to the plains below, 'off limits' to those so young as they, for there were rather dangerous predators out on the plains... Dangerous ones indeed.

Surion just simply was following his cousin, he wasn't any the wiser what Jakath was trying to do, "Where go?" he asked his cousin as they entered the area

"Away from girls..." He said softly. "Girls will want us play house... Want..." He shuddered for a moment. "Kiss..." He made a sick face and actually started running down the ramp. This stopped Jaine and Kalia dead in their tracks. "Jakath no! That no-go!" Jaine whined and fought for a moment before following, as did Kalia.

Surion blinked at his cousin's explanation but ran with him pulled along by his cousin

Soon they hit the not so grassy part of the plains, the grass was only up to their ankles here, but not more than ten yards off it shot to above their heads. There were parts in the grass where one could see large animals had passed, some predatory, some not. Jaine and Kalia moved closer to the boys, scared, and slightly upset, they were worried they were gonna get in trouble. Jakath however, didn't fret, he kept up, not letting go of Surion and heading for a tree in the clearing.

Surion looked towards the grass as he moved along with his cousin he saw the animal paths but stuck with Jakath

Jakath didn't stop till they reached the tree and sat down, panting, and closing his eyes. "Jaine and Kalia should go home, no get in trouble, my Da elder, me not get in big trouble, you no have Elder Da, you need go home..." He said softly. "No go home! We go home we tell on Jakath and Sur, And Elder Da or no, they get in big trouble, well all in trouble anyway..." The girls replied

Surion looked between them "Sur trouble?" he didn't understand why, he didn't know this area was off limits to kids his age and his cousin's age

"This area no go..." Jaine started. "Danger, Animals, big! They eat..." She looked around, afraid one such thing would come and get them all... She'd lost a brother to them, she'd not seen the damage... She'd been to little to look at the body, but it hadn't been too much before Surion had arrived.

Surion looked around as she did his tail wrapping around his side till he held it's tip in his hands "Aminal eat?"

"Yeah, big... Like jaur... and Dragon..." She whimpered. "Dragon's eat..."

Surion stared towards the grass near them and put a finger in his mouth chewing on it nervously and winding up piercing it with one of his sharp incisors and sucking at it

Jaine and Kalia looked around nervous, jittery messes. Jakath however was cool and calm. "We no need fear, Da said they no come this tree... This tree safe." The boy didn't know how wrong he was...

Surion looked around them and then up at the tree itself looking up into it's branches

Right above them, not more than maybe ten feet up, lay a dozing Dire Plains Jaguar, it was sleeping granted, but still, it was, rather large, and had saber toothed fangs. It's paw, was more than the size of a dinner plate, and well, It's markings were more stripped than spotted, but from where Surion was he could see it in all it's glory.

Surion grabbed his cousin's hand and pulled at him backing up as he did, his eyes were very wide

"What Sur, tree safe!" He grunted, looking up, and then freezing.

Sur shook his head and pulled harder then grabbed one of the girl's hands he was following pure instinct to RUN!

The girl he grabbed was Kalia, Jaine already had Jakath's other hand. Kalia didn't really understand why Surion was running, but she looked up... And screamed. Her scream was rather loud, and this roused the Jaguar, who, up until that moment, had been more than content to nap during the hottest point in the day. However, now something new came to his senses, four rather tasty looking small morsels, running... away... from his tree. If the Jaguar could have smiled, it is more than likely he would have, as he leapt to the ground and gave chase.

Surion ran as fast as his little legs would go he was pulling Kalia with him heading on a direct path for the ramp that would lead back into the cliffs where they had come from

The Jaguar was gaining, and Jakath, being the oh so intelligent child that he was, decided to turn his head around and look back at the beast. This however caused him to miss the lovely exposed rock that just happened to be jutting out of the ground at just the right angle to make him fall flat on his face. He let go of Jaine's hand as he fell. "Run!" He shouted, even as he roughly landed. He started to scurry back to his feet, but it looked as if the Jaguar had caught up enough on him to attempt a pounce, as it was working itself to do that just then.

Surion didn't want to leave his cousin to be eaten and not entirely thinking of the consequences picked up the nearest rock and threw it at the beast

The Jaguar, surprised by the rock, faltered a smidge in it's jump, the rock, spooked it quite a bit, but it wasn't about to give up it's meal just because someone decided to fight back. It re adjusted itself, but this time, charged straight for the thing that made it 'mad', Surion.

Surion turned and bolted hoping his cousin would be smart and move, he screamed and headed up the ramp as fast as his legs would carry him the girls already ahead cause like Jakath he had let go of Kalia

Kalia looked worried, and was motioning for Surion to hurry the heck up! Jakath was hitting the ramp a few steps behind Surion, having regained his feet. The Jaguar started to follow them up the cliff ramp... That is, until a well aimed spear from about twenty feet up in the air from above caused the Jaguar to cease moving... Or breathing for that matter.

The spear didn't make Surion stop as he ran up the ramp screaming at the top of his little lungs he didn't intend to stop either

Surion was stopped, by a strong pair of familiar smelling hands. Korvil grunted as he grabbed his grandson. "Not how I expected to see you grown for the first time..."

"Gampa" he cried out he said turning and burying himself into his grandfather's legs

Korvil brushed his hair. "It's gone..." He murmured. "It's gone..." He looked at the other three. "Alright, Who's Bloody Damned Idea was this to go down the ramp huh?!" Korvil was not happy, not happy at all. The two girls burst into tears, and pointed at Jakath, who was currently too busy staring at the impaled Jaguar to notice that he was in fact, in very, very big trouble.

Surion clung to his grandfather's leg sniffling, glad for a familiar scent regardless how angry his grandfather sounded right then

Jakath slowly became un-shell-shocked and made his way back to Korvil. "Grampa!" He squeaked when he realized that his grandfather was there. He paled. "I... I can... I can explain!" He whined. "I don't care if Visha told you to go down there, you boy, are in very, very big trouble... I'm taking you all home..." Korvil told his grandson

Surion looked at his cousin his grip on his grandfather's leg did not loosen

Jakath looked stricken but bowed his head. "Yes sir..." Korvil reached down to pick up Surion, who was obviously in no condition to walk right then. The girls stayed behind him, they were scared of the hunter.

Surion's clinging changed from his grandfather's leg to his neck when he was in his grandfather's arms his tail wrapped around his grandfather's arm as well

Korvil patted his back as he walked. "We'll drop you girls off first..." He murmured softly. "Just so you know, you aren't in as much trouble as Jakath..." The girls looked relieved. "But... Wait! That's not fair!" Jakath whined.

Surion didn't say anything as he sniffled against his grandfather's shoulder

"Of course it's fair, you're a leader Jakath weather you realize it or not, people follow you easily, you're just like your father, you're very lucky no one got hurt... or worse... Killed, because you decided to run out into the plains!" Korvil was not in a good mood as he dropped the girls off and recanted what little he knew of the goings on, their parent's were worried yes, and many a bad look was tossed in Jakath's direction, by the time they finally got home, Jakath, went straight to his room, while Korvil sought out Mikiri.

Surion had refused point blank to let go of his grandfather even when they got to his Aunt's cave

Korvil just carried him around, till he found Mikiri. "Well, you're son just about got Surion and two girls killed today..." His voice just bubbled with anger.

"What?! How?!" Mikiri gasped, putting down the weaving she'd been working on and looking over to her father and nephew.

"He decided a little field excursion down the ramp to the plains was in order." Korvil stated.

Surion looked at his aunt and at his grandfather, he could sense the anger from his grandfather quite clearly. his tail wrapped a lil tighter around his arm

"No? He didn't... Did... he?" Mikiri asked in stark disbelief

"Yes, he did, and he nearly got himself eaten by a Bloody Dire Jaguar!" Korvil seethed.

Surion whimpered burying his face into his grandfather's shoulder again clinging tighter

Korvil sighed and softly rubbed Surion's back, slowly trying to calm himself down.

Mikiri stormed out of the room... Her hands clenched into fists.

"Gampa mad" he whimpered not wanting to move an inch from where he was right then

"Grampa very mad, Jakath did not think, and he did something very stupid..." Korvil growled...

A few moments later there was a crash, a loud whimper and the sound of Mikiri shouting her head off.

Surion clung tighter hearing the yelling and started to cry, his dislike of yelling was no less now then it was when he was an infant

Korvil brushed his hair, and soon an strange silence filled the cave. These caves were not meant to be silent, usually there was activity all around. But today... Today there was a lull in that activity... at least, Until Mikiri came out of Jakath's room and started to get back to work, weaving a basket to hold greens in as she needed a new one, Jakath had broken the last one to play a cliff game with a ball and a basket. She sighed and finally gave up working, starting to cry.

Surion sniffled and slowly turned his head to look at his aunt hearing her crying. He squirmed till his grandfather put him down then went over to his aunt latching on around her waist

Mikiri sniffled. "Hey..." She wiped her eyes and scooted back, pulling him up into her lap and burring her face in his hair, she brushed it softly and inhaled, crying a little harder now.

Surion clung to her now her scent was familiar and that's what he needed

Mikiri held him and sniffled, rocking him back and forth and trying very hard to stop her own crying.

"Sur otay, you otay too?" he asked quietly

Mikiri sniffled softly. "Yeah..." She murmured weakly. "I'm Okay..." She hugged him tight and sniffled. "Are you okay, did it hurt you?"

"Sur no owie" he said "Sur frow rock no get Jakaf" he said quietly "Sur run. Gampa get" he told her

Mikiri hugged him tighter. "Thank you Surion... For protecting Jakath..." She smiled weakly and wiped her eyes. "He's not going to be able to play with you morrow or the next day tho... Understand?"

Surion looked up at her and blink "Otay" he said quietly after a few minutes

She hugged him close and sighed. "Alright... Well I think we could both benefit from a nice nap... What about you?

Mikiri's question came too late for Surion had rested against her chest once he had said okay a single finger in his mouth and closed his eyes dozing off worn out from running

Mikiri giggled softly and stood, she moved to Jakath's room and put Surion next to her own sleeping son, who, by the looks of things, would have a rather nice black eye and a goose egg by the next day, not to mention a few other bruises. She sighed and shook her head, and then walked out of the room, heading to her own to lay down... and think.
