Torvil was looking at the flower and letting out a sigh, shaking his head slowly and, and thinking hard as to what he could do about it later. He looked to Ala, to see how she was doing.

Ala was reading, she had brought a single book with her, she had a feeling THAT wouldn't cause TOO much of a stir

Torvil chuckled and moved over to her, leaning over her shoulder. "So, good reading?" He asked softly.

"Same old same old" Ala said tipping the book so he could see the cover, it was the Kerrsalian textbook

Torvil chuckled and kissed the top of her head walking over to Surion. "What's Sur playin?" He asked softly.

Surion looked up at him "Dragon" he said holding up the stuffed toy with a grin

Torvil chuckled and kissed the top of his head. "Oh? Having fun?" He chuckled.

Surion nodded "A lil fun, dada ok?" he asked him

Torvil smiled. "Just feeling his age a bit..." He chuckled softly.

Surion stood up "Dada is?"

Torvil chuckled and poked his nose. "Kinda..." He chuckled softly, nuzzling his son. "You're growing up into a big boy..."

"broder and sisters bigger then Sur" he said wrapping his arm around his father's leg

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah they are, lots bigger..." He chuckled and brushed his hair. "But Daddy's not used to Sur getting bigger..." He smiled softly. "But that's okay, Sur needs to get big and strong, and be a good dragon..." he smiled.

Sur nodded "Sur get bigger toos" he said and hugged his father's leg tighter

Torvil smiled. "Yeah, Sur get bigger toos..." He chuckled and slowly leaned down to pick him up.

Surion let go of his father's leg looping his arms around his father's neck when it was in range

Torvil smiled and nuzzled his son a little as he headed outside, looking out over the sunset that was starting to fall on the cliffs

Surion looked at the colors in the sky his tail moved happily "Perty colored" he said grinning happily his tooth that was replacing the one he lost mostly in again

Torvil smiled. "Isn't it though?" He chuckled softly and kissed his son's cheek. "It's better in the morning, maybe I'll wake you up and we can watch the sunrise?"

"Otay dada" he said and leaned against his father's shoulder

Ala walked out and joined them "Pretty sky, Surion is right about that" she said

Torvil smiled and wrapped an arm around her waist. "How about we all wake up early and catch the sunrise?" He smiled and nuzzled both his wife and son, as they watched the sun set over the red stone of the cliffs.

"Take him to the top of the cliffs, it's the best from up there" she said standing close to him

Torvil nodded. "I know love..." He purred softly, kissing her cheek.

Ala chuckled and nodded

Sur's eyes had strayed from the sunset looking down at the other Dragonics moving around below them

Torvil smiled when he saw what his son was doing. "Those are your people Surion... Some day, they may need you, and some day they may call for you... I want you to be ready for that..." He chuckled. "I'm still waiting for mine..."

Sur blinked "Call for Sur?" he asked blinking confused

Torvil chuckled and poked his nose. "One day, they might need you, or I, or both of us... It could be crisis, there could be a famine...." He smiled softly. "But your sister will probably send us a note, or a runner, telling us to come, we may not live here, but we are part of the cliffs, and one day, they may need us here..." He kissed his forehead and smiled.

"Uuuhhhh Otay....." Surion had no idea what his father was talking about and shrugged his little shoulders looking back down at the other Dragonic again

Torvil chuckled and kisses his son's forehead again, he knew when the time came and it was important that his son would understand... He let out a light sigh, and cast his eyes down to the floor below them smiling. "Hey, I can see my old house from here..."

Ala looked down "Oh?" she asked

Torvil chuckled and pointed to a small man-sized hole in the rock. "Yeah... It goes back about ten feet..." He murmured. "Not all that comfy tho..."

Ala made a face, "lets not think about that, that was then this is now, you live in a cave, a real cave"

Torvil smiled and nuzzled her softly. "Yeah... And it's a nice cave..." He murmured, giving her cheek a soft lick before returning his attention back to Sur

Ala purred and kissed his cheek and returned into the cave

Surion was staring at the hole his father had been talking about

Torvil smiled softly and nuzzled his son. "Ready to go in?" He asked softly to Surion. "Or do you want to know why dad lived in a hole?"

Surion sat up and leaned against his dad "Dada choose" he said cuddling against his dad

Torvil smiled. "I'll tell you, but you have to promise that it won't make you be upset with your grandparents okay?" He said softly.

Surion blinked and looked up at his dad, he didn't understand why he would get upset with them

Torvil took a deep breath and began. "It all started when I was born...I had white hair and I was smaller than my brothers and sisters..." He sighed and sat, putting Surion in his lap. "Your grandmother wouldn't feed me, and your grandfather would beat me senseless if he saw me... They hated me, and I had to do everything in my power to stay out of their way. Everyone here at the cliffs hated me, hated my kind, the white hairs... All because of one man... But he's gone now, so we don't have to worry about him anymore. But anyway..." He took a moment to let what he said sink in.

Surion blinked the tip of one finger in his mouth, that didn't exactly make sense to him

Torvil brushed his hair. "They hated me because I was different..." He murmured softly, then sighed. "You know, this might be a better story for when you're older..."

Surion nodded slowly "Otay dada"

Torvil smiled and stood up, picked up Surion, and headed for the cave once more.

Surion leaned against him and yawned softly

Torvil chuckled and licked his forehead. "Sleepy?" He asked softly, giving him a nuzzle*

"Sur sleepy dada" he said quietly worn out from running around and playing

Torvil chuckled and hugged him tight, heading for the pallet when they entered.

Ala looked up "Bedtime?" she asked watching her males

Torvil nodded. "For Surion at least..." He said softly, moving to lay down on the pallet. "Unless of course you're ready for bed..."

"Been a long day, I think we have another fun filled day ahead of us tomorrow" Ala said closing her book and getting up "We should try and get a bigger cave tomorrow"

Torvil nodded. "Alright..." He smiled softly, laying down on the pallet and holding Surion.

Ala stretched and blew out a candle then crawled into the pallet with Surion and Torvil smiling and purring softly

Torvil purred happily and hugged her close, along with Surion and closing his eyes, a smile on his lips.

Ala fell asleep quickly

Surion was asleep before his mother even joined them

Torvil smiled, and let out a soft sigh, slowly falling asleep.

~~~Next Day~~~
As Torvil had promised he'd woken everybody early and now they sat up on the top of the cliffs, watching the sun rise.
Ala yawned as she sat and waited, she wasn't used to this early of a wakeup anymore
Torvil smiled and nuzzled her softly, just as the sun started to peak over the top of the cliffs.
"Look Sur" Ala said softly nudging her son who was playing with the ties of his little shoes
Surion looked up and smiled "Oooo perty" he said
Torvil smiled and watched the sunrise, "When it's over..." He murmured softly. "We'll drop Surion off at Mikiri's place, and go cave shopping"
Ala nodded "And get some of that juice, it should wake me up at least"
Torvil smiled and kissed her cheek. "Yeah..." He murmured softly.
Ala smiled softly and leaned against his shoulder watching the sun
Torvil smiled and put his head against hers. "This is nice..." he purred softly.
Ala nodded "I agree wholeheartedly"
Sur sat up more "Color perty!" he said pointing at the changes in the color
Torvil smiled and ruffled his hair, letting out a purr.
Surion giggled as his hair was ruffled unlike his mother he was very awake
Torvil chuckled and smiled. "Well lets go... The booths should be opening and Mikiri is prolly making breakfast by now..." He murmured.
Ala nodded getting up "Want me to Sur or you?"
Torvil smiled. "If you want to carry him be my guest..."
Ala reached down and hefted her son onto her hip "You are getting big Surion" she said
Sur giggled "Sur big!"
Torvil chuckled and stood up, brushing Surion's cheek, walking slowly down the way to Mikiri's house.
