| Surion meets the family
Ala hummed softly getting her son's diaper changed and him dressed for the day, he was definitely one peaceful child and she like that, however she was tired as her son seemed to have his internal clock mixed up
Torvil had no issue with his son's sleep schedule, however, he was a little groggy from the constant dozing at night so now he had his head against the wall. He yawned and stretched.
Half dangling the blanket around her knees she carried her son past their room towards the kitchen
Surion cling to the blanket the thumb of that same hand in his mouth, his other hand clung to the tail of a small black and red plush dragon
Torvil shambled to the kitchen, intent to have a large cup of coffee to wake himself up fully. He smiled as he saw his son and wife, and slowly and softly walked behind Ala, starting to hum a happy tune.
Ala was figuring out a baby swing she had ordered that had arrived, she had a feeling her son would like it's gentle movements, hearing her mate she looked over her shoulder and smiled
Torvil waved and looked at the swing with a chuckle. "Nice..." He moved to the counter and started to make some coffee. He hummed as he did so, watching Surion as he worked.
"Well I got it together now lets see how it works. She placed her son and his items in the seat clipping the buckle for safety and picked up the manual reading it
Surion watched his dad from where he sat and burbled making bubbles happily
Torvil smiled. "Cool." He chuckled and started to sip at his coffee. "So uh... How's it work?" He was rather curious, as it was something quite new to him. "And Hello my darling little boy." He waved his fingers at Surion.
"According to this we wind it up using this handle" she pointed at a hand crank on the top side and wound it up" then we start it by giving the swing a soft push" she sis and the swing took over keeping a gentle swinging motion at a steady rate, each time it reversed direction it made a 'tick'ing sound
Torvil chuckled. "Interesting..." He smiled softly, and moved a chair to the front of it, sitting down. "Hey..." He smiled at Surion. "How are you today little guy?" His face beamed.
Ala smiled leaving her mate with the swinging chair as she prepared herself something to eat
Surion cooed and blew bubbles around the dragon's tail and for once dropped the blanket as he waved his arm around towards his father who was continuously near then far then near again to him
Torvil smiled. "Good, good." He smiled softly. "So how was your day little guy?" He chuckled and leaned forward, coffee in one hand, and one on his chin.
Surion kicked his little legs happily nailing his father in the chin when the swing got close enough
Torvil chuckled and faked his heading flying back. "ugh! You got me!" He contorted his face in mock pain. "You're a strong little guy!" He chuckled and his face softened as he leaned back to take a sip of coffee.
Ala chuckled softly seeing the event from the corner of her eye. "Careful love"
Surion burbled still kicking his little legs as he moved back and forth in the ticking swing
Torvil chuckled. "I'll be fine love..." He smiled at her. "And a little ego won't hurt anyone..." He nodded his head back to Surion and smiled. "Yes, my son... The best of the best..."
Ala chuckled leaning against the counter to watch and eat "So what's on the go today?"
Torvil chuckled softly. "I don't know love, I've just been waking up for the past few days." He yawned and smiled at her and then his son.
"When exactly do we want to make that trip?" she mused
Torvil tapped his chin. "Soon I would think... Like... Two or three days from now... We have to pack for Surion too." He smiled. "And you'll have to carry him..."
"The playpen, diapers, clothing... well at least a couple sets we can always get more there,,... even if we have to have it custom made since babies really dont stay babies there, our cliff clothing... " she rattled off a list of items she felt they'd need
Torvil smiled. "We should start packing now..." He chuckled softly. "We'll have to bring a crib around too..." He said softly. "Though, I could just jump the stuff there..." He chuckled weakly. "With your permission of course...." The last thing he needed was her yelling at him.
"He can sleep in the playpen love, no need to bring too much extra stuff, as for jumping it better not be straight jumps...." She looked at him seriously
Torvil nodded. "I won't straight jump..." He said softly. He looked at her. "Never again..." He rubbed his head, and smiled softly at his son.
Ala nodded "Probably could put everything needed inside the playpen, kinda use it as a big 'box' and unload it from there then it's only like one thing in a nutshell.. But I really don't see the point in the crib if we have the playpen"
Torvil nodded. "I'll do that... Now if you want... We could leave today if I did..." He said softly, smiling. He took another sip of coffee, and waved at Surion again, chuckling lightly. "Visha, he's adorable...."
"I wonder what your mom will say, after all to her he is 'half-way changed' " she giggled thinking of the day Mitizimi asked her about her own tail
Torvil laughed. "Who knows, probably dote the hell out of him..." he smiled softly. "Not only that, but probably spoil him to death as well..." He chuckled.
Ala laughed "And wonder why he isn't growing" she giggled
Torvil laughed. "Yeah, that too..." He smirked. "And when we explain that little snippet, watch as her eyes become saucers..."
Ala laughed "Well I'll leave you here with Surion to wake up I'm gonna go start gathering necessities" she pushed away from the counter and headed out of the room towards the nursery
Torvil nodded, and looked to Surion, waiting till Ala left to reach into his pocket and pull out a small box. "Okay, time for daddy and son secret time..." He smirked and pulled out a necklace that was just right for Ala. "This is what daddy got for mommy for when you were born..."
Surion cooed and reached for the necklace his little fist opening and closing
Torvil chuckled softly. "No, no... This is for mommy..." He chuckled and re-pocketed it. Smiling and reaching into his other pocket he gave Surion somthing he could play with, a small dragon toy that he wouldn't choke on.
Surion's hand wrapped around it's tail and he brought it to his mouth and gummed it "nyanyanya" he said has he gummed it
Torvil smiled and chuckled softly. "You are just too cute Surion you know that?" He smiled softly, and leaned forward again. "Just too cute..."
"pppbbbbtttt" he said contently
Torvil laughed and stuck his tongue out at Surion. "Yes, that's right Pppppppbbbbbbbtttttt....." He laughed loudly, and finished his coffee.
Ala wandered back into the room smiling at the laughter
Torvil wiped an eye and smiled at her, waving a hand. "Surion's just too fun for words love..." He hadn't noticed that he'd not put the necklace away all the way... And part of the gold strand was hanging from his pocket.
Ala purred walking up behind him "Hmmmm" she said kneeling behind him her arms drapped over his shoulder, her eyes on his pocket
Torvil looked at her face. "What is it love?" He asked softly, looking at Surion with a slightly quirked, 'Mommies having a weird moment... Bear with'.
The hand closest to the pocket Torvil had a chain dangling from moved over his shoulder a finger running down his back purposefully moving over the node and then to his waist where she pulled her hand away and lightly flicked at the object that caught her eye
Torvil shivered and looked at her again. "Love?" He purred softly. "Oh!" He quickly handed her the necklace from his pocket. "Is this what you were looking for?"
"Wasn't looking for, I just happened to notice shinies hanging from your pocket next to your attractive butt" she purred taking it from him to look at
Torvil chuckled softly and smirked. "Is it really that attractive?" He muttered, darting a look to Surion. "And should we be talking like this around virgin ears...."
"I doubt he wouldn't hear it in most places we go" she said "By the way I barely ate all those crackers... and now I'm rather tired of them what will we do with the rest?"
Torvil chuckled. "I'll eat em..." He smiled softly. "They're not that bad actually..." He chuckled. "True that love..." He smiled to Surion. "He's so cute..." His attention seemed split even between wife and son.
Ala chuckled "Well I have everything packed I need for Surion and I, you just need to add your stuff... "
Torvil chuckled and got up, pulling Ala into a short kiss and a strong hug. "Alright..." He smiled softly, kissing her forehead and heading off to their room to pack.
Ala purred softly and watched him leave before walking to Surion "What you think Surion, should we take your swing too?" she asked leaning next to him for a moment before stopping the swing and undoing him
Torvil came back a bit later. "I'm all packed love!" He smiled softly, and brushed his hair. "Are you and Surion ready to go?" He asked softly. "Cause if you are I'll go move the stuff and come back..."
"I'll feed son while you take the stuff, then he won't be hungry for the trip, or at least for part of it..." she said with a nod heading for their room for the rocker
Torvil smiled. "Alright..." He smiled, heading for the nursery to jump the stuff, whistling softly as he moved. At this rate he'd be able to ask Asmodeus for help moving it while he was there....
Ala settled into the rocker with Surion and nursed him contently while she waited for her mate to take the stuff over
After a short while, Torvil's heavy footsteps could be heard. But not happy ones... Oh no, these where his, 'If You are not family flee quickly for my wrath comes' steps.
Ala frowned looking up when she heard the footsteps, a 'what the hell' look crossing her face as she watched the door
Torvil entered, a slight twitch forming along his mouth and eye. "He wasn't there...." He said cool as ice, not mad at Ala... But at Asmodeus.
"Who wasn't there?" Ala questioned curiously
"Asmodeus... He wasn't there!" He sat down on the bed with a huff. "All that was there to tell me where he was, was a note he'd sent in awhile ago..." He coughed, and said. "I'll be back when I'm back. - Asy..."
"Well we can't control his... life" she said "And done properly do you really need his assistance?"
Torvil shrugged. "I was hoping to get it done faster... But you're right..." he sighed. "I've been using his time too much... I'm sure it was something important..." He muttered. "I've always told him that he needed to get a life..."
Ala chuckled "Sounds like he may have listened to you then" she grinned
Torvil chuckled. "That he may have... But Asy? Who the hell came up with that name for him... Cause I sure as hell know that he wouldn't come up with one..."
"I can think of hmmm one person" she said with a smirk
"Oh?" He asked, looking up. "Who would that be?" he said rather plainly. He knew very little about Ala's social life outside of the home... Which irrated him a bit... But he didn't want to be a hamper on her life, even if he was her husband.
"The only silly one I know... Dia" she said getting up and putting their son on the bed while she put the Maya wrap on over her shoulder
Torvil chuckled. "Well she did seem interested in him during the birth of our son..." He chuckled. "And I did hear him say he'd be back to talk to her..."
"And she did asked me a lot of questions about him when she visited the day after our son was born... I feel sorry for her though, she can't leave Kazeha right now" Ala said as she wrapped up their son in his fave blankie
"Oh?" This was new info... He barely knew Dia, and would rather have liked to get to know her better. He stood and moved to get the things they had packed. "Why's that love? She do something wrong?"
"No, remember that demon tribe I was mentioning to you a while back?" Ala asked as she picked Surion up and proceeded to position him in the sling
"Somewhat... Not a lot..." He scratched his head. She'd kinda said a little on it, but he'd be damned if he could dredge it up. That irritated the hell out of him, his memory was better that THAT! He started to growl trying to pull it all forward.
"Well her mother is the daughter of said tribe's leader... and her and her mother were the reason for the attack on Kazeha 20+ years ago, they were trying to find them... and during Dia's recent quest bounty hunters temporarily captured her" Ala explained grabbing Surion's dragon stuffie and sticking it in a small black canvas diaper bag
Torvil nodded slowly. "Ah..." he stroked his chin. "That doesn't sound too good... But it seems she's come out of it okay..." He murmured. "She looked um... Not like she usually does..." He said softly.
"She grew her wings while she was away, as for her tail and horns.. she's recently stopped hiding them... I saw her when she first got back from her quest Torvil, she looked awful, banged, bruise, cut, a royal mess... I healed her while we were talking" Ala sighed
Torvil frowned. "Oh..." He murmured. "Well I hope the hunters didn't go without their proper karma..." He coughed slightly. "And if she happened to have anything of them if they didn't I could see to it that they do..." He muttered.
"I have a feeling she burned anything she had been wearing it was really a mess, she was a mess. I had to get Estra to fetch her Pae egg from HQ cause she got taken before she had had a chance to go retrieve it"
Torvil nodded slowly. "Oh..." He murmured, a slight growl at the injustice in his mind if they hunters had escaped. "Well then..." He made a mental note to talk to Asmodeus about it later if what he thought was happening was happening...
Ala nodded and pulled the end of he wrap snug before draping the extra fabric over her shoulder to give her son darkness to sleep in a they traveled
Torvil smiled and walked to her, and kissed her cheek. "Lets go before I get even more mad and pitch a ranting fit..." He shook his head. "We both know that I don't need that..."
"No, you don't" she said heading for the door turning off the lights as they went
Torvil moved with her, and smiled softly, quite content now, and letting the Dia incident slip into the back of his mind so that his mood didn't die.
Ala purred, she didn't worry about telling the keeper of their departure, the keeper had already agreed to stay for a couple months to tend shop. She unfurled her wings as she exited the house turning to wait for him
Torvil with is wing already spread, walked to her and smiled. "You take off first, that way I can catch you if you have trouble." He smiled and flapped his, waiting for her to take off into the sky.
Ala smiled and nodded lifting into the sly with strong beats of her wings, her insides may still be mildly sore but her wings were strong
Torvil smiled and took to the air, following behind her at a very close distance, able to catch her easily if she were to fall. He would do every thing in his power to make sure his wife and son were safe.
Ala hummed softly to her son, she knew he was asleep and hoped he'd stay that way for a while
Torvil smiled, able to pick up his wife's humming over his wing beats, but only so much of it. He chuckled softly to himself as he flew.
Hours later they neared their normal resting stop, the tree from which the cliffs were visible from
Torvil waited to see if Ala would land to rest, needing a short one for himself, his wings were a tad sore... Which was another irritant.
Ala descended gently and landed atop the thickest branch stretching then relaxing her wings
Torvil smiled and landed softly. "How you holding up, and How's Surion?" He asked softly, his wings relaxing against his back.
Ala lifted the fabric a little to peak in "Gumming that dragon and clutching his blankie" she said with a smile letting the fabric fall to reveal her awake son
Torvil chuckled. "He's so quiet..." He smiled, moving over and brushing their son's face with his fingers and beaming with fatherly pride. "Now how about you?"
Surion let go of his dragon rooting after his father's fingers as it brushed his cheek
"Not bad, he's a little heavy after a while but the weight is distributed evenly so I should be good to go for the last le of the trip" she shifted the diaper bag to her other hand
Torvil smiled. "I'll carry him if he's an issue..." He chuckled at Surion. "I think he'll need to be fed when we get there..." He kissed Surion and looked to Ala. "I mean, if he's heavy then I'll take him for you..."
Ala chuckled "There is one thing I like about this carrier" she said rearranging her son a bit inside it and rearranging her top, within a few minutes she had Surion feeding while still in the carrier. she wrapped her arms around her son to make sure he stayed close and then looked to her mate "Shall we continue?"
Torvil chuckled softly. "If you can fly and feed at the same time then sure..." He smiled softly, his wings flapping ready to take off again. "Shall be interesting..."
Ala laughed and nodded heading back into the sky at a slightly slower pace
Torvil smiled and flew behind her still, making sure she landed at the cliffs before he did. He knew that they could expect little in the way of greeting, it being so late and all. Most people were at home.
Ala landed softly in the same area they always did and repositioned her son again as she folded her wings as he was done feeding and had returned to his dragon
Torvil smiled and landed, brushing his son's head softly with a finger. "Lets head home now shall we, and get it set up for Surion..." He smiled, and kissed Surion then Ala softly on the cheeks.
Ala nodded and thought for a moment before turning and heading in the direction of their home away from home "Get it all set up then we can decide what to do next" she said with a nod
Torvil chuckled. "Like crash our parent's house and show off our child?" He smiled, and wrapped an arm around Ala so he could be closer to her and Surion as they walked. "Maybe Mikiri and Vina as well..."
"Sounds like a definite plan" she grinned
Torvil chuckled and nodded, nuzzling Surion's head softly and raining kisses down onto his peach-fuzzy scalp, feeling in the mood to be close to his youngest child.
Ala laughed "Lets get into the cave and you can snuggle while I unpack" she said letting her wings loose again knowing they'd have to go up
Torvil chuckled. "Okay...." He unfurled his wings and pulled away, heading up ahead of her to make sure their cave didn't have any visitors.
Ala smiled and followed after him pulling the loose fabric of the wrap over their son
Torvil landed on the landing of the cave and entered, looking about and finding it as they'd left it.
Ala followed him in folding her wings. she moved to the pallet bed and pulled her son from the carrier laying him on top of his blanket on the bed with a smile and a kiss
Torvil purred and came over. Sitting down next to his wife and son. "My wife is gorgeous beyond all measure, and my son is cute beyond all words... Am I not he luckiest man alive?" He purred, leaning over to give them both a kiss. Surion's on the forehead and Ala's on the lips.
"And the father of 3 more, of course you are" she leaned over Surion giving Torvil a soft kiss before she got up and started unloading all the stuff she had put into the playpen
Torvil smiled and spent that time cuddling and playing with his newest child. A slight pang of guilt told him that he should have done this more with his other children... But he pushed it aside.
Ala hummed softly as she put away all her clothing save one which she changed into which was just a simple dear skin skirt and top which upon inspection she felt looked eve better on her then the last time she had worn it. she put away all Surion's things leaving his couple of toys in the playpen but stacked the diapers and wipes and everything else nearby, within around 20 mins she was done
Torvil looked up from his playing and cuddling with his son to look at his wife. "I should probably get some more clothes today, nothing so... Uhm... Old..." He chuckled softly, and nodded his head. "Well should we get going or wait a little longer?"
Ala laughed "I want to see their expressions, we didn't exactly pre-announce our arrival here today."
Torvil chuckled and picked up Surion as he stood. "Okay then, let's go..." He smiled and nodded his head, holding Surion close to him.
Ala nodded "I'll go in first" she said with a giggle scooting ahead of him and heading out of the cave
Torvil smiled and followed Ala, knowing that it would be obvious when she entered that she was no longer pregnant. She'd never been one to hold baby weight for long... He grinned. Not that she looked bad with it either...
Ala giggled running her hands down her nearly flat belly and there was a slight bounce to her walk, she was excited, didn't really matter who entered first as long as Torvil carried their son it would be obvious... Arriving at her mother-in-law's cave she grinned and started walking in "Hello? Mom? Dad? she called out
"Ala?" Mitizimi called out from the kitchen. "What's the occasion? Usually you call ahead... Is everything alright?" Her voice sounded a little worried as the sound of her moving towards the front was heard.
"No, nothing wrong, we're fine, just have someone for you to meet" she said walking further into the cave towards the kitchen
"Oh and who would..." Mitizimi spotted Ala and suddenly she let out a happy cry. "Ala! You had the baby!" She ran to her daughter-in-law and scooped her up into a happy hug.
Ala laughed "Yes I did, a few days ago now" she said returning Mitizimi's hug
Torvil smiled as he entered. "Meet your new grandson... Surion!"
Mitizimi put Ala down and walked over, she looked down and frowned. "But he's so tiny!"
Ala chuckled "He's only an infant, he isn't going to grow as fast as the normal Dragonic child."
"But he's such a tiny baby...." Mitizimi said concerned. "He looks under ten pounds!" She pouted. "Aren't you worried..."
Torvil looked up at her. "He's almost nine pounds mother..."
Ala shook her head "Any bigger and I think I coulda torn in two birthing him, For the average single birth child he's actually on the heavy side"
Mitizimi shook her head. "Torvil was ten pounds even when he was born... The rest were near about twelve..." She tapped her chin. "But then, the two of you are rather short..."
Ala giggled "Yes we are, and I'm not exactly a big person. Don't worry Mitizimi, the mednin's wouldn't have let us leave right away if there was a concern about his size"
Mitizimi nodded. "Well Korvil's out on a long hunt..." She frowned. "Seems there was a bit of a shortage of late with local game..." She frowned. "So everything's gone and gotten more expensive... Vina's trying to fix it... But I don't know what she can do..."
Ala nodded "Doesn't sound like a good thing to have the game more expensive" she said
Mitizimi nodded. "Yeah, especially because nothing else went up in value..." She frowned. "But no matter... We're trying our best..." She patted Ala's cheek and then her sons. Then ran a finger lightly over her grandson's face.
Torvil smiled softly at his mother.
Surion stopped gumming his dragon and looked directly as his grandmother with his blue eyes then proceeded to burble and blow bubbles at her
Mitizimi let out a soft squeal of delight. "Ooooh! He's so cute!" She let out a girly giggle and waved at the little baby. "So sweet!" She smiled and leaned down closer to him.
Ala giggled "Love you gonna let your mother hold her grandson?"
Surion reached towards her still grasping his blanket tightly in his little fist still burbling away
Mitizimi blushed. "You'll let me hold him..." She looked nervous.
Torvil smiled and slowly handed his son to her.
Mitizimi took Surion super gently and the positively beamed with grandmotherly pride.
Surion's waving arm blanket and all batted gently at Mitizimi's face as he looked up at it
Mitizimi let out a light hearted giggle as she lowered her face a little more to plant a soft kiss on the boy's forehead. "He's so sweet..." She purred happily.
Ala smiled climbing onto a nearby chair to sit down "Sweet little Surion, Now meeting his grandmother.. his only grandmother for the first time" she said happily
Torvil smiled and nodded, not mentioning Ala's mother, who now resided about twenty feet bellow the Balan shop. "Aye."
"But what of your mother Ala?" Mitizimi said softly. "I never have met your parent's or heard you talk of them..." She handed Surion back off to Torvil.
Ala bit her lip "I don't know my parents, never met them,... They... they became Liches when I was an infant... Lived with other families throughout the years..." she said with little to no emotion
Mitizimi looked sad then. "Oh..." She shook her head. "Forget I mentioned it..." She frowned, and opened her arms to Ala for a hug.
Ala smiled softly and walked over to her after standing up again to give her a hug
Mitizimi hugged her close and started to hum softly, more to comfort herself than for Ala, who didn't seem to need it.
Torvil smiled softly and looked down at Surion. "And that's grandma..."
Ala looked up at her mother-in-law with a smile "I have a mother now, why should I need two" she said
Mitizimi smiled softly at Ala and brushed her cheek. "You're such a sweetie you know that..." She kissed her forehead and sighed. "Alright, I really should get back to making breakfast... You should go see the others..."
Ala chuckled and nodded "We'll see you again, we're very likely staying a few days, we did after all bring his playpen and diapers and all that good stuff" she said with a smile as she broke away from Mitizimi
Mitizimi smiled. "I would love to see you again... Korvil isn't to come home for another day or two..." She shook her head. "I miss him so very much."
Torvil nodded. "I'm sure you do mom..."
"We will come see you again, promise" she gave Mitizimi's hand a squeeze then headed for the entrance of the cave
Torvil nodded and followed his wife, catching up with her. "Do you want to hold Surion?" He asked softly. "I mean, you've gone a bit without..." He said.
"Sure, perhaps you can break the news next" she winked " I think your sister's is close then Vina's from here that would probably be the best place to go next" she said taking her son, his blanket and dragon from her mate
Torvil nodded and headed for Mikiri's. He felt a bit sad at handing over Surion to Ala... But he did need more mommy time right? Right?! Well at any rate, he smiled none the less, seeing how sweet the two looked together... Perhaps that was why it was easy for him to give him to her... They just... Were perfect together. He smiled and walked.
Ala sensed his emotion but said nothing, if he wanted or needed to say something about it he would. she followed behind Torvil, falling a bit behind as they neared the cave
Torvil entered the cave. "Sis?"
"In here Torvil!" Mikiri stuck her head in. "Though it would be nice to know you were coming, then I'd of made more food."
"Nah, we're not here to mooch..." He chuckled softly.
"Torvilll!" She huffed at him.
Ala laughed as she entered, she had purposefully stayed back until she knew Torvil had his sister's attention before walking in
Mikiri froze. "ALA! You had the baby!"
Torvil laughed.
"Ohhh you shut up Mister! You should have told me!" Mikiri hopped the counter and hurried over to see her nephew.
Ala was giggling quite a bit listening to her sister-in-law "Meet Surion" she said with a wide grin
Mikiri smiled and moved over, leaning down. "Well hello there Surion..." she cooed. "He's a little small though..." She mused.
"Deja vu..." Torvil chuckled.
"Very" Ala chuckled along with her mate
Surion pulled the stuffed dragon from his mouth and held it up to her, it swayed in his grasp and the damp, baby-drool soggy surface easily got Mikiri
Mikiri giggled and wiped it away. "Awww..." She took the dragon for a moment and kissed it, then handed it back to him. "Aren't you just the sweetest thing..." She kissed his forehead and stood up fully again having been nearly doubled over to reach him.
Ala giggled softly "You can hold him if you want, it's got to be easier then bending over that far"
Mikiri smiled and took him softly, holding him with a bright beaming smile. "He's so cute! I see a lot of the both of you in him..." She kissed lil Surion's forehead again and nuzzled him. "He definitely smells like Torvil though..."
Ala laughed "Somehow that wouldn't entirely shock me" she caught the stuffed dragon as it fell from his grip his drooly hand batting playfully at her as he blew bubbles and burbled
Mikiri giggled. "Okay... Who wants him now?"
"Uh.. I'll take him..." Torvil said slowly standing up.
Ala nodded she knew he wanted to and she didn't mind "How is your family doing Mikiri?" she asked as Surion was passed to his father
"Good, Jokar's got kids now..." She smiled and bit a finger. "Seemed like yesterday I was telling him not to play in rummage dumps..." She shook her head. "They grow up so fast... All of them do..."
Torvil smiled and held his son.
"Seems like yesterday he was giving us a hard time for 'playing' in a rummage dump" she smirked
Mikiri laughed. "Well the two of you should know better..." She shook her head. "But then... Me and Malkar did the same not too long ago..." She blushed.
Torvil laughed softly.
Ala giggled "Eh when the urge calls, it calls... He was constantly asking about when I was going to have my babies"
Mikiri smiled. "And now you have..." She smiled, and rubbed her belly. "And I suddenly have the urge to have another set... I'll have to pin Malkar for awhile for that..." She grinned.
Ala laughed "Somehow I have a feeling we wont be having any more for a long time personally... It was hard enough to get pregnant the last time and we only wound up with one child, a very cute loveable child, but still only 1"
Mikiri nodded. "I wouldn't be surprised..." She mused softly and nodded her head. "Well I hope to have a few more... Rhazar had quite a few till she stopped..." She looked to Torvil with a smile. "You remember them right? They're all hunters."
Torvil nodded slowly, rocking Surion.
"Well that's what I get for my heritage I guess" Ala said and walked over to her mate and smiled taking the edge of the blanket he tucked it around her son who had dozed in his father's arms, the pattern of the blanket was easily visible but Ala paid no notice as she stuffed the dragon in the diaper bag
Mikiri smiled. "Nice blanket..." She mused softly. "Where did you get it?"
"Visha..." Torvil said softly smiling at Surion as he slept.
"Come again?"
"Visha, she gave it to us on the last visit we were here after we attended the service..." Ala said
Mikiri stood there wide eyed.
Torvil looked up. "Oh calm down..." He muttered.
"What do you mean calm down... Visha gave you a blanket for Her Sake!"
"Not I think it was for Surion's sake..." Torvil chuckled.
"You know what I meant!"
Ala looked back and forth between them hoping Mikiri wouldn't wake Surion up, he was most certainly not a fan of really loud voices
Mikiri pinched the bridge of her nose. "Okay, okay... Sorry, I forgot that she's not that divine of a figure to you..."
"You'd understand if you met her in person..." Torvil said softly, kissing Surion.
"I'm sure I would..." She sighed. "Well I'm sure you have elsewhere to be... Sorry to have gone off there..."
Ala stared at the floor for a moment biting her lip
"Its okay sis..." Torvil stood. "We'd hoped to stay for a bite to eat if you don't mind."
Mikiri instantly brightened. "Ooo! Yes, please, come sit! I have leftovers!"
Ala smiled softly feeling relief as she followed her mate
Torvil smiled and looked at her, sitting down with Surion in his arms. "Something small though, we do have to be going."
"I know, wouldn't want to delay you... Vina would skin me..." Mikiri said cheerfully.
Ala chuckled "Never know with Vina, especially depending on what time of month it is" she said also taking a seat
Mikiri nodded. "Or if she's molting... I've heard even her husband avoids her then..." She giggled and came out with food.
Torvil couldn't help but chuckle.
Ala chuckled "She usually locked herself away in her room when she lived at the shop"
Mikiri nodded. "Aye... I heard her and Joman having a tiff once... From here..." She tapped the table. "And they were home..." She pointed outside.
Ala raised a brow "That was some 'tiff' if you heard it from here"
Mikiri nodded. "Over who left the window uncovered... Of all things..." She tapped her chin. "I think they were just uh... arguing..."
"I hope so" Ala said with a sigh knowing her daughter had had male troubles in the past, she certainly hoped it wouldn't repeat
Torvil ate slowly and tapped his head with a hand. "They'll be fine I think..." He said softly.
Mikiri nodded. "Considering the next day they didn't leave the house..."
Ala laughed "I can only guess what they did" she grinned
Torvil chuckled and picked held Surion, finished eating. "Ready to go and visit her love?"
Mikiri nodded. "I really should let you guys go... I have stuff that needs to be finished before Malkar gets home from the trip..."
Ala nodded "Yup we might as well head out" she turned to Mikiri "Thankyou for the food"
Mikiri smiled. "My pleasure..." She stood and took the dishes, heading out as Torvil headed for the cave entrance.
Ala followed after him "So you brought him in to meet mom, I surprised your sister, how do we want to introduce him to Vina?"
Torvil chuckled. "I don't know..." He mused, and stopped. "Do you want to hold him?" He looked at her.
"Sure love" she said stopping beside him
Torvil handed Surion off to Ala with a soft smile. Sure, he didn't like not holding their son, but why hoard him... Ala did more work anyway.
Ala kissed their sleeping son softly "you know, we could always try and wake him up and let him introduce himself by giving him the attention he loves that makes him babble"
Torvil chuckled. "That we could..." He said softly, looking at her. "That we could..." He kissed her cheek and then Surion's head. "But we'll have to be closer to Vina's for that..."
Ala nodded and continued to walk as they got closed Ala woke their son up who looked at them with blinking eyes as if to ask 'what do you want?'
Torvil leaned over and started to give Surion little kisses and smiling. "You're the bestest little boy in the world yes you are.
Ala held back her laughter and watched her son as he went from blinking to batting at his father's face, cooing and burbling and blowing bubbles
Torvil chuckled and kissed his son's hands.
Vina came out of the house, hands on her slightly bulging belly... She looked as if she'd let her self go, as she was a bit heavy in a few other areas as well.
"Hello Vina sweetie" Ala said noticing Vina's appearance, she said nothing about the weight though
Vina smiled. "Hey..." She sounded a little tired, but smiled anyways at Surion. "Little brother was born I see..." She purred and walked over, looking at him.
Ala nodded "Yes, meet Surion" she was curious about her step-daughter's tiredness at this time of day
Vina smiled. "Can I see him?" She opened her arms, her eyes sparkling.
Torvil looked to Ala.
Ala nodded and handed him blanket and all to Vina
Vina took him with a smile and then sat on the ground putting him in her lap near her belly. "Say hello to your nieces and nephews, brother Surion..." She smiled, red runnels starting to run slowly down her face as she smiled.
Ala smiled and looked at her mate
Surion babbled and blew bubbles
Torvil beamed. "All of our babies are having babies it seems... Save Torvin and Surion..." He mused quietly to her.
Vina smiled and kissed Surion's forehead. "And hopefully they'll be close enough to your age that you can enjoy them..." she smiled.
"Well we are grandparents at least 5 times over, already, more never hurt" she giggled "When do you expect your clutch?" she asked Vina
"Whenever they come... Joman said a few months... I said a few days..." She blushed. "Probably a week or two..." She touched her belly. "We found out just before he left on the hunt..."
Ala chuckled "Sounds like someone else in my position, a mother to be who isn't sure when" she said "With all hopes he's back by then"
"A few days..." She mused. "Along with every other male in the cliffs, excluding those not of age to hunt, and dad here..." She pointed at Torvil as she played with Surion.
Torvil looked at his feet. "I should probably find them and help out..." He mused.
"If you want to love, might be good bonding time with your father since you never got to do that as a kid.... It's up to you... I wont stop you and I'll still be here when you get back if you chose to go" Ala said looking at him
Torvil looked conflicted. "You sure you don't mind?" He asked. "Are you sure you'll be alright here with Surion?" He really did want to go though...
Ala nodded "I'm sure love, I have our entire family right here to help me if I need it" she said with a nod
Torvil nodded and moved over to Ala, giving her a kiss and then walking to Surion and knelling kissed him and Vina, before walking a bit a ways. "I'll be back!" He waved and shimmered.
Ala smiled softly seeing him disappear "Well now it truly is just the ladies" she chuckled and sat beside Vina
"We still have the younger males... Jokar is still here... But only because he's a newlywed..." She giggled. "And Surion's here..." She stood slowly and offered him back to Ala.
Ala took her son from Vina "I don't think Surion is going on any hunts in the near future" she giggled
Vina smiled. "I would hope not..." She rested her hand on her belly. "Twins, Joman said..." She mused quietly
Ala smiled "Better then none, I've very happy for you Vina, Children are a blessing, even more so when they are hard to conceive"
Vina nodded. "Turned out it was me..." She blushed hotly. "I uh... am the most fertile right after my uh... Yeah..." She bit her lip. "Which is usually when I molt..."
Ala chuckled "I can sympathize Vina, having difficulty conceiving was my part too... But it worked out in the end"
Vina nodded with a smile and blushed. "Joman said that he didn't care what we had to do... If I wanted babies were were going to have babies... And now we have them..."
Ala smiled "I'm proud of you Vina" she said softly she knew it wasn't her Kerrsalian side, or what was left of that side, saying it, but more of her motherly side and Dragonic side
Vina smiled and bowed her head. "And my newest little brother is adorable..." She smiled and moved over closer to brush his cheek with a finger.
"Like his lil tail?" she said with a giggle lifting the blanket from his legs
"Awww, that's so cute..." Vina reached down and poked it softly with her finger, giggling.
Ala purred softly, "He was a pain to delivery, but I love him" she said happily
Vina smiled. "I'd think, he's freaking huge!" She made a big hand motion. "What's he weigh? Nine pounds? Ten?" She giggled and smiled at her mother.
Ala chuckled "Just about nine at birth" she said with a smile
Vina whistled. "I hope these two aren't that heavy..." She patted her own tummy. "Oh! Were are my manners!" She smiled. "Come in... Your bloated cow of a daughter needs some company, and some help... eating some cake..."
Long visit which includes talking about Vina's pregnancy
Vina nodded slowly and moved with her mother, a soft smile gracing her lips. "Thanks mom, you've helped me a lot today..." She waved at Surion up until they reached the door. "I'll see you guys soon!"
Ala smiled giving her step-daughter a one-armed hug before disappearing down the path. she detoured and walked past the temple and down another path, she was on no hurry as she retraced her mate and her's steps away from the temple, she desired to see if she had been imagining things on that one rock face
When she reached the wall, the strange marking was still there, a clear as day. It stood there as a beacon. Bellow it however now, was a new image... An exact replica of the blanket Surion now wore. A perfect copy down to the last inch of color and texture, even though ti was painted on the rock face.
Ala couldn't help but smile softly she stepped closer to look at it "I wonder why this got put here" she murmured softly running her fingers along the surface
It felt exactly as Surion's blanket did, and a soothing aura came from it... In fact... Another blanket fell into Ala's hand when she touched it, as if the painting had been a blanket... Upon closer inspection, she would find two blankets.
Ala blinked "Ok now I'm extremely confused" she said looking at the contents of her hand after repositioning Surion in her arm so she had a safe hold on him
There was a note where the painting had been. It also seemed painted onto the wall where the other had been.
Ala knelt beside the wall and put Surion on top of the pile of blankets before seeing if the note would do the same as the blankets had
It did, coming away quite cleanly from the wall, and feeling different from normal paper, a bit heavier, but not as heavy as a parchment would.
Ala blinked and looked at the paper looking at both sides before reading the text on it's surface
Didn't think is was fair for just Surion to get a blanket, after you and Torvil pretty much love the thing. Thought I'd at least let you each have one... Seeing as sharing one might be fun and all, but I don't want you guys fighting as I know you probably would... Or Torvil being a martyr, slap him next time he does that, and tell him that he can hold Surion too... Yeah, I'm watching you guys... So you keep up what you're doing... I've never been prouder -Visha P.S. - Oh, and tell Surion hi for me!
Ala chuckled and rolled up the paper tucking it in the diaper bag Turning to her son she picked him up "Visha says hi my son" she said softly picking him up and then he blankets "thanks Visha" she said softly with a look at the marking before heading back to the cave
