| Ala Visits Dia and Surion gains a skill!
Ala flew towards Kazeha often having to stop midair and look back at the moping Balan and her balite. Her own cargo was her Son and one other which remained hiding in Ala's pack "Come on Sabi, you wont find out it's true till you get there"
Spaz was exhausted and clung to Sabi's tail as they flew. Sabi was not wanting to return to Kazeha without Dia...a task which she felt she failed. Sabi just shook her head not believing that Dia was back in the village without a word to anyone.
"If I have to I'll come back and push you to Kazeha. Now come on Dia is my best friend I wouldn't be lying" she said she could see the village on the horizon
Sabi sighed and flicked her tail, sending Spaz rolling into the air with a yelp. He quickly regained himself and flew to catch up. Although tired, he was excited to be reunited with Torpedo/Thug. Sabi flew and caught up.
Ala smiled and continued flying and soon laded outside the East gates of the village
Sabi landed a few seconds after Ala, and a few feet behind her. Spaz just kinda fell into the dirt. Sabi looked up at the tall gate towers and sighed again. She felt like a failure.
Ala reached down and picked up the balite knowing he was rather pooped and put him in the carrier with Surion who had been watching him as much as he could and immediately reached for Spaz. Ala headed for the gates to check in and visit her friend... and haul a Balan home
Spaz smiled and relaxed in the carrier. He liked Surion and didn't mind being chewed on if it meant he didn't have to walk or fly. Sabi sulked following behind Ala.
"Good afternoon, Ala." Alix bowed and smiled, then checked her name on the list. "who's accompanying you today?"
"Mornin Alix, Surion is with me and these are pets of Antidia Muma, I'm bringing them home" she said motioning the sulky Balan and the little balite currently being seriously drooled on
Alix nodded, "got it, noted it, and have a great day." He bowed once more and then stood to the side watching them enter the gate.
Ala chuckled "Later Alix" she said and headed into the village and towards town center
Sabi walked with her head down low, she was able to sniff the dirt on the road she sulked so low. Spaz just purred and cuddled up with Surion, knowing he'd get a bath later anyway.
"Now where is that girl" Ala mused to herself sniffing the air to get a general idea which direction to head
Having a weekend to spend as she pleased as Asy was busy, Dia was at her old hangout in the training grounds with Kito and Nim as well as their pets. She finally had a chance to catch up with them and they were all just sitting and talking, rather than any actual training. Sabi trudged along, trying to not look at anyone.
Ala smiled catching the scent and headed directly into the grounds "Come on Sabi, if you don't watch where you are going you are going to run into something" she said looking over her shoulder
Sabi grumbled and kept walking, lifting her head just in time to not run into a child that had run across her path. She stopped and watched the little boy run to his mother before following Ala again, now walking and watching where she was going.
After a short Time Ala headed into the familiar path that lead into Dia's little clearing
Dia's ear twitched a little and she looked over her shoulder. "someone...is coming." she said as she turned to watch, a huge grin on her face as she knew it was Ala. Kito and Nim just stayed seated and watched.
Ala cleared the trees and pulled Spaz away from her son's drooly grip "Anyone care to claim this?" she asked having stopped at the edge of the trees and was now holding Spazz up by scruff of neck
Spaz just dangled, covered in drool and grinning. He started squirming when he spotted Thug. TORPEDO!!!
Dia's eyes grew! "Oh my Goddess!! ALA! You found her!!!" Sabi peered around Ala and seen Dia standing there. She sat back and rubbed her eyes with her paws at first, and then ran and pounced.
Ala laughed "Actually they showed up at the shop" she said putting Spaz down on the ground
Spaz made a beeline to Thug and tackled the little Balite who was standing in a 'crane' karate pose, on the defensive. Sabi licked Dia's face like she was lapping at water as if she hadn't had a drink in weeks.
Dia was giggling and hugging her companion. "Sabi! where have you been?"
Where have YOU been?
Ala laughed and wandered into the clearing "Seems she's been searching for you Dia" he pulled her over-bulgy pack off her back and sat down
Sabi wouldn't let Dia up.
"Sabi, I was held captive for a couple weeks, and I returned a little over a week ago.
I didn't know where you were."I got a little lost and sidetracked, but I searched everywhere. I'm sorry, Ala, I didn't believe you.
Ala chuckled "It's ok Sabi, how bout you let Dia up though, you aren't exactly a little or light Balan anymore" She pulled open the pack and looked down into it "Also seems you didn't have an egg at the isle anymore Dia"
Sabi moved back a little, but Dia quickly sat up at Ala's news. "What!? what happened to it?"
"This" she pulled out a small Pae who was blinking and looking around confused at the change of environment
"Is that...Drizelda?" Dia reached towards Ala to the little creature in her hands. She'd named the egg, not knowing if it had gender or not, but hoping.
"Yup, she hatched a few days ago according to Estra" Ala put the Pae down on the grass
Dia picked up the little Pae and smiled, "Dizzy! Its nice to meet you!"
Dizzy grinned and fluttered her wings, lifting herself up a few inches off the grass.
Ala chuckled "A regular reunion" she giggled pulling Surion's blanket from the carrier and laying it on the grass then laying him on top of it
Kito went over to Surion to play with him. Nim watched, making a weird face at the baby.
Dia nuzzled the baby Pae. "Ala, thank you! And I still need to send a thank you to Estra. It looks like she's taken good care of Dizzy."
Ala chuckled "No problem, I went to get dizzy early this morning , Sabi was at the shop when I stopped back there so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and haul her back too"
Surion blew bubbles at Kito kicking his little legs and swinging his arms happily
Kito babbled, thinking he was actually communicating and tickled Surion's feet.
Dia set Dizzy back in the grassed and watched her for a few seconds.
Spaz had hauled Thug over by the scruff of his neck and when he spotted the little pink Pae, he dropped Thug and ran to her and picked her up. I will name you Ladybug. and Spaz too Dizzy to Thug and introduced them.
Dia laughed and just watched the creatures interact with each other.
Dizzy seemed to have a ball.
Ala laughed "I think letting Spaz hear about naming might have been a bad idea" she said shaking her head
Surion kicked his little feet at the fingers ticking them
Dia nodded, "no kidding. Although...his name aptly fits him." she chuckled.
Kito had pulled a feather from his robe's pocket and was using it to tickle Surion's nose and toes.
Nim just watched, hardly believing her eyes to see that Kito liked babies.
Surion sneezed when his nose was tickled getting bits of baby drool allll over the place
Ala chuckled "That it is... Just glad she finally showed up again... Sabi that is"
Kito overdramatically wiped baby drool from his brow. He seemed to have several loose odds and ends in his pockets that he'd pull out to play with Surion with. The next little doohickey seemed to be a small plushie of some sorts, of a human.
Dia nodded, "Me too. I'm glad your in one piece Sabi...but why did you go looking for me? I told you to stay safe."
Surion stared at Kito for a moment before kicking his legs again and reaching "AAAaahhhhhhhhhhfppppfffttt"
Kito danced the little plushie around on Surion's belly, singing a strange little song in gibberish as he did so.
Surion latched onto a leg of the plushie and pulled it towards his open mouth fully intending to gum it
Kito played a little fake tug-o-war with Surion before letting him have the plushie. "He's great, Ala."
Surion protested as Kito tried to 'take' the plushie but was soon gumming on the leg happily
Ala chuckled "Thanks Kito I like to think he is too" she turned to look towards Dia and Sabi again
Dia was scratching Sabi's head as it lay in her lap. "Thank you, Ala." Sabi seemed to be falling asleep.
"Any time Dia.. her timing was impeccable though considering you asked me to come today" Ala chuckled
Dia nodded, "no doubt. seems she was meant to come today." she grinned and continued petting and scratching Sabi.
"Definitely, but I'm just happy to see your pets home with you where they belong" Ala said relaxing her elbows on her knees
Dia nodded. "me too. And its great to see Dizzy. I'm so glad she's okay. I was quite worried."
Ala nodded "So what's new my friend" she asked
Dia grinned wide, "I actually have exciting news. I haven't even told Nim or Kito yet. And I also wanted to show you something special a little later."
Ala nodded "What's that?" she asked
"Asy and I Bonded. And he's going to come live with me." She said rather excited.
Nim and Kito just crooked their head at her. "He's ... moving in...already?" Nim said apathetically.
Ala crooked a brow "Well now, that's a big bit of news, you found out what it all means I presume?"
Dia nodded. "I did. We're married...according to his people's ways. He said I'm officially Mrs. Grims." Dia beamed.
Ala chuckled "Well I suppose congrats are in order then" Ala grinned
Dia smiled brightly. "But he said we can have a Kazehan wedding too, anything I wanted." Kito and Nim just looked at her with jaws wide open. Completely speechless.
Ala grinned "I suppose this means Kito doesn't need to smell like lavender all the time anymore?"
Kito blushed a little. Nim just glared at Dia. "You...up and MARRIED him, and we've never even MET him!"
Dia looked towards Nim, "Nim...I...its different for him over there...we're still going to have a wedding, for my family and friends and so I can feel like its official on this side." She said quietly.
"Nim... calm down... Asmodeus is a nice person, after all... my son's middle name is named after him" Ala said
Nim glared at Ala briefly, only before returning the glare to Dia. "What happened to dating...to wooing...to engagements and introducing your man to your friends?" She said very flatly. Kito didn't say a word, he was hurt she didn't tell him, but didn't know how to tell her.
Dia sighed, "Nim, he lives on Other Side. He's a Necromancer. Most of our courtship was spent either there, or the one day we've spent here. You and Kito were working with Kal the day we...fell in love."
Ala sighed it was obvious they needed to talk this through, she got up leaving her stuff where it was and picked up Surion walking with him around the clearing, she knew exactly how it was to fall in love with someone that easily
Kito put his hand on Nim's shoulder. "I felt her happiness, her love." he sighed speaking of the emphatic bond he shared with his best friend. "I think I knew the day they bonded, too. That's when I wasn't able to feel her anymore."
Dia looked to Kito and tilted her head. "Kito...I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. Things happened like a whirlwind. And to be honest, I'm surprised something like this didn't happen sooner...considering what I had been going thru."
Nim actually shed a single tear. "Dia. Congratulations. I guess I knew the day would come when we'd split up. I know you'll want to be a good wife to your husband, and won't have time for us as much."
Ala stopped, she'd been walking circles around the trio... she watched Nim with pursed lips, not much time...Ala had her own thoughts about that one
Dia looked to Kito. "Kito, if you were able to feel that, why didn't you feel my fear, my worry and come help me when I was captive?" she asked, not accusing him of anything, but merely because she was surprised he felt her happiness recently, considering they'd been drifting anyway.
Kito shook his head. "I was worried for you. I didn't know where you were, and I ... was afraid to look by myself." He said softly. "And I couldn't feel you as strongly as I used to."
Ala's eyes moved back and forth between them and she finally rejoined them sitting down as Surion began to root
"Kito...I think we've been drifting apart for a while now. I think it comes with maturing, growing older. We will always be friends, but we will need to move on with our lives eventually." Dia sighed, surprised those kinds of words even came from her mouth.
Nim nodded. "Dia's right. We're all of the age to be seeking mates and settling down." she said quietly. Kito started crying, feeling guilty he'd let Dia down. "I'm sorry, Dia."
Ala bit her lip listening to them and dealing with the feeding of her son
Dia looked to Ala, then back at Nim and Kito. "The bonding was...something I wanted to do, but also...happened in the heat of the moment." she said quietly.
Kito wiped his tears and smiled, not at Dia's words, but because he suddenly felt a peaceful feeling. "Dia, I'm happy for you. This means you won't have to worry about pouncing guys randomly...and...wasn't that the reason you were snatched in the first place?"
Ala chuckled softly knowing the pouncing was an issue till recently
Dia chuckled softly at Kito's comment. "Aye. And you'll be happy to know, that even though I can't control my sense of smell still, Asy's scent is strong enough that he can hold me over for a while." She gave a playful wink to him.
Nim smiled, "Dia, I'm happy for you. I'm sorry I was angry at first. I guess the shock was just something I wasn't ready for. I kinda pegged Kito to get hitched before either of us."
Ala burst out laughing "I peg Kito the ever-lasting-donut-loving bachelor" she grinned
Kito pouted a little to Ala. "I can find girl's if I wanted to." he grunted in a lower, more masculine tone, obviously trying to be more manly.
Dia laughed, "Yeah, I always thought Nim would hitch first, Kito's too...Kito...to marry any ol' girl." Nim blushed a little bit, but turned her face so no one noticed.
Ala laughed "Just my opinion" she said looking at him flashing him her sharp-toothed grin
Kito chuckled. "I know...I just haven't really....I mean...girls don't like me when I like them. Its rough actually." he sighed.
Nim stood up and brushed herself off a bit. "I think I'm going to go and let you 2 visit a bit more. Ala, it was good to see you, and meet your new baby. I'll see you around." And Nim bowed and headed towards the entrance Kito headed out with her.
Ala nodded and waved to Nim & Kito as they left then turned to Dia "Sooo what was it you wanted to show me"
"Oh! Ala! My dragon clan has a new addition. He's the cutest little baby rain dragon. I've never really introduced you to them, so I thought you'd like to meet the baby at least. Plus, I like summoning him to cuddle anyway." she chuckled.
Ala chuckled "Sounds like something interesting to see considering..."
Dia nodded, and stood up. "you'll love him. He's sweet and doesn't bite...the others bit when they were babies." she chuckled. Dia stood straight and still and bowed her head and closed her eyes. Her hand held in the Dragon Seal sign. "Kuchiyose no Justsu KOURYOU!" She shouted, then brought her thumb to her mouth, and nipped the tip at the time she removed a scroll from her hip pouch, and with a flick of her wrist, unrolled it, running the bleeding thumb across the symbols and words written on the scroll. The scroll disappeared with a 'pop' and a small puff of smoke was in its place, and that quickly dissipated revealing a small little blue, shimmering dragon hovering in the air, flapping his wings rather quickly, like a little humming bird.
Ala grinned seeing the little dragon, she looked at him leaning a little closer her tail moving behind her
Dia held her hands out under the baby dragon and he slowly lowered himself down, coiling his serpent-like body in her hands. Dia sat down slowly and held her hands towards Ala. "His name is Kouryou. And he's an absolute sweetheart." she said quietly, watching the little dragon in her hands as his wings stopped fluttering as he rested.
Ala reached a hand forward slowly towards the little dragon, she didn't say much but she purred. She didn't know whether this little one could sense her heritage or not
Kouryou lifted his head back up and turned to look at Ala. His little tail started twitching and he leaned his head closer to hand and started nuzzling.
Ala smiled softly running a finger down the length of the dragon's head and neck however her own habits made her avoid anything that had to do with his wings or horns
Dia giggled. "he likes you." she watched Ala pet the little dragon. "he likes under his chin stroked, just like his daddy." she whispered.
"Seems to" she said with a nod still purring softly and moving her finger below his chin to stroke the surface
Kouryou's wings flapped happily and a tiny little purr could be heard emanating from him. "you want to hold him? he likes to coil around things tho." she smiled
"If he wants to" she said laying her hand flat inviting the little dragon to sit on it, her tail wrapped around her side and coiled in her lap
Kouryou slithered over to Ala's hand, and just as Dia said, he started coiling his body around her fingers, weaving in and out of them. "Dad says its rare to witness new elementals. So its actually a really, really bid deal that Kouryou was born, and especially that he's so friendly. Dad says he'll most likely bond with me more than the others because I'm here while he's a baby."
Ala nodded "Well he's a cutey that's a definite" she said her tail moved up and coiled around her arm loosely the tip resting on her wrist as she stroked the infant again
Dia smiled watching Kouryou with Ala. "He knows you are a friend." she said quietly as Kouryou's head started heading for Ala's tail, to sniff and nuzzle. His tiny little claws weren't harsh enough to hurt, they actually tickled when he'd try scratching at anything.
"Think he senses my heritage?" she asked watching the little dragon with a smile and a continued purr
"He might. Maybe that's why he's clinging so close to you." Dia smiled. "I need to work with a him a lot while he's growing, so he'll trust me. But from what I've seen, he seems to trust really easily. Unless he just knows we won't hurt him. I've never really shown him to anyone else."
Ala nodded "Hard to say I suppose... you said he was a.. rain dragon? that'd be a very different line of dragons then mine"
Dia nodded. "Yeah, he was born representing rain. But he's actually an Elemental Dragon. His daddy is an earth dragon and his mom a water dragon. We actually weren't sure what element he'd be born as."
Ala nodded "Very interesting, I wonder if the Fae Dragons ever had any contact with these dragon before now..."
Dia shook her head. "I actually wouldn't know. I could have Dad ask Ryuuou next time he sees him...but I wouldn't know otherwise."
Ala nodded and looked up at her "Would be interesting to find out, though it's probable the answer is no, most Fae dragon don't have wings, it's a big thing to be one who does. Though the average dragon from the cliffs can turn into a full dragon they are wingless for the most part"
"wow, I didn't know that." Dia smiled. "So like, if Torvil didn't have wings, he could change?"
"I don't really know what Torvil can do in that aspect, I don't think it would matter regarding the wings but it's a big deal to have them... my mother in law shifted to full dragon form the first time I met her and passed out when she found out I was a winged" Ala tried to explain
"Wow! So you are blessed to have the wings. Do Selene and Torvin have them?" Dia asked, not sure, since its been so long since she seen them.
Ala nodded "My entire family does save for Surion, if he gets them it wont be till he's older"
Dia nodded. "Wow. That's really cool."
Ala nodded and looked back to the little dragon "It's a interesting thing though I think the shock of it has worn off, not many make much notice of mine or Torvil's anymore"
Dia nodded. "yeah...people are getting more tolerant. I'm not really sure why. I am surprised at how widely I'm accepted...all things considered." she mused.
Ala chuckled "A few months ago it's possible things would be different... remember the first time I landed in Kazeha?"
Dia chuckled, "Yeah. Kazeha's come a long way in a few months, hasn't it?"
"Considering I can walk through the village wings unfurled... very much so, but then a few months ago your people thought the Kerrsalians were dead and gone too and now look you have dozens of them right here" she said
Dia nodded and smiled. "yup, thanks to Kal. She's helping us grow and progress." Dia watching Kouryou start to slither up Ala's forarm and she chuckled.
Ala chuckled "That tickles a little" Ala tail moved a bit
Kouryou heads straight for her shoulders, where he draped himself and started nuzzling Ala's neck. Dia giggled. "He really likes you, Ala."
Ala chuckled "So it would seem, he sure is cute that's a definite"
Surion kicked his little legs dislodging the blanket from atop him and looked up "Aaahhhppfpffttt"
Dia smiled and looked towards Surion. "Kouryou is gently, want to introduce him to Surion?"
Ala laughed "Nearly everything small that goes near Surion gets drooled and gummed... you saw Spaz when I first arrived... that was Surion's doing"
Dia laughed. "Its up to you. Kouryou may be gentle, but he's sturdy too."
Ala chuckled "And Surion can be not-so gentle even if he doesn't mean it..." she looked at Dia not really able to 'see' the little dragon anymore
Dia held her hand out to Kouryou and he slithered on to it. Dia then held her hand near Surion. "Kouryou, that's baby Surion. He's new, like you." She said softly to him. The tiny blue dragon purred and flapped his little wings fast like a humming bird and flitterered over to look at Surion, hover just over him, out of reach.
Surion cooed seeing the tiny dragon and tried to reach for him sounding his frustration at not being able too
Kouryou extended his tail down to the baby, and his body seemed to start to glisten. He was emitting water from his scales, to make his body slippery so the baby could hold him, but also so he could slither out of his grip easier if he needed to.
Surion got hold of his target and started to pull the dragon closer
"Surion gentle love" Ala said trying to get him to stop pulling
Kouryou lowered himself down to Surion, to avoid being pulled from the air.
"Dia Surion will gum kouryou" Ala said watching her son intently who had his mouth wide open as his hands got closer
"Kouryou, the baby might not be gentle." Dia said softly. Kouryou's body glistened, and he was able to easily pull his tail from Surion's grip and returned to Dia's hand. "He's...all wet."
Surion's face scrunched up threatening to cry, something Ala curbed by quickly handing him his stuffed dragon that found it's way to his mouth in a matter of seconds
Ala sighed "Sorry, he's going through that everything in the mouth stage, I think he may start to teeth his first tooth, it's really hard to say, nothing it normal about rates of growth with Surion"
Dia smiled. "its okay. I think Kouryou was just curious about Surion too. He probably could have withstood the gumming too, but I don't think you'd want Surion sucking on a little wet dragon." she chuckled. Kouryou was poking his head towards Ala.
Ala laughed "Probably not" she lifted her tail and held it towards Kouryou, the spaded tip laying flat near Dia's hand
Kouryou quickly slithered to Ala's tail and he wound himself around it, purring gently.
Ala chuckled "Very gentle little guy, have you ever called on others?"
Dia nodded, "yeah a lot actually. Well, not recently, but during training I had to, because part of being able to summon them, is them trusting me. So I had to get to know them. There are a few I can summon that don't really like me though. And a couple I can't summon at all." she chuckled.
Ala chuckled "Sounds like a very interesting skill" she purred and brought the end of the tail near her face looking into the little eyes of Kouryou "Never give up your skills Dia, they are important even if they don't seem to be"
Dia nodded. "Thank you for that Ala. Its funny that you mention that though." she said quietly.
"Why's that?" she asked and looked up past Kouryou towards her friend
"Its been something on my mind lately. Not giving up my skills...but ... giving up being a Shinobi."
"Why would you want to give up being a Shinobi, I thought it was something you really wanted to be" Ala was confused
Dia nodded. "its my life's dream, to protect Kazeha and be a Shinobi...but...things changed. Yesterday, Asy asked me what my dad did that makes him be away so often...and well, my dad is the same as me, only higher ranked. So he asked if I would ever leave him like my dad leaves my mom..." Dia sighed. "And I don't want to ever leave him like that."
Ala frowned softly "What you do with your life Dia is truly your choice. I'd hate to see you give up on something you really want, but if you want to stay here and not be a Shinobi for Asy even more I would imagine it's something you need to work out for yourself right here" she said and tapped her chest where her heart was
Dia nodded. "I know, its just something I've been thinking about. Considering I'm confined to the village for the next couple years...I have time to think about it. I've been wondering if there is someway I can still serve, but not have to leave on missions. Like Nim and Kito have right now."
"Hard to say, that would be something you'd have to contact your elders on I would imagine" she nodded and moved her tail back towards Dia
Dia nodded. "yeah. I'm in no rush, just been thinking about it." She held her hand out and Kouryou slithered over to her.
Ala nodded "Something to give much thought, give it a lot of that, don't rush your decision"
Dia nodded. "yeah, I've worked my whole life for things, I'm not going to give them up in a heartbeat." she chuckled and looked at Kouryou. "ready to go back home?" she said softly to him.
Ala smiled and picked up her son stroking his cheek then moving to feed him when she found he was rooting
Dia held her hand out for Kouryou to start flapping his wings so he could support himself. Dia bowed and held her hand in the sign of Dragon, and with a puff of smoke, Kouryou turned back into the scroll that Dia had used to summon him.
"Very unique way of summoning him" Ala mused with a chuckle
Dia grabbed the scroll out of the air and started rolling it back up. "this is my contract with the Clan. I have to 'sacrifice' using my own blood to call them. From how I've been told, this is sent to the plane the dragon comes from, and when they are dismissed, it returns."
"Ahh I see, I suppose that makes sense" she chuckled
Dia nodded. "to tell the truth, I'm not sure how it works, I just know the steps to do it." she chuckled.
Ala laughed and nodded and looked down at her son with a smile.
"Ala, I want to thank you again for bringing Sabi and Dizzy home. I can forgive you for Spaz tho." she chuckled watching Ala and Surion.
Ala chuckled "No problem Dia, I know you couldn't come to them."
Dia smiled and lazily plucked at the blades of grass. "Ala...do you have anywhere to be for a while today?"
Ala shook her head "No not really, got to be back tonight obviously but Surion sleeps pretty well anywhere so long as he has his blanket" she smiled
Dia smiled. "that's good...cuz there was a couple things I wanted to ask you about." she turned a little red.
Ala quirked a brow "Oh?"
"uhm..." Dia was red, but not really as bright as before in the cliffs. "I'm not sure how to word what I want to...ask..." she said quietly, watching her fingers plucking more blades of grass.
Ala chuckled "Well word it as straight-forward as you need to" she told her friend as she burped her son
Dia giggled and thought for a moment. "Ala...I want to talk to you about ... " she said rather quickly, "intimacy" she whispered.
Ala smiled "In what aspects?" she said suppressing some laughter trying to be serious
Dia's giggles were getting a little...loud, but she couldn't help it. "well...all aspects...I don't really know much about it. I've...suppressed those feelings since they started when I first hit puberty. I was afraid that was the succubus part of me...I didn't know humans felt like that too sometimes." She laughed and tried to keep a straight face.
Ala chuckled softly and lay Surion on the blanket with his dragon "Aye humans feel desires for intimacy too, perhaps not as strongly as the succubi or the dragon, but they do feel them." she nodded
*Long Conversation Regarding Intimacy*
Ala shook her head "No need to be, though you are forgiven regardless, we all go through things we cannot control..."
Dia quirked her brow and grinned, "did you?"
Ala laughed and nodded "Yeah there was a time I had certain urges of my own I could not control, mind you I still don't have perfect control over them... but it's better"
Dia laughed so hard she fell over backwards. "Ala...we sure make some pair, don't we."
Ala laughed and nodded "Aye that we do, mind you we have a lot in common too I imagine that's why we've gotten along so well over the time we've known each other"
Dia sat up, and leaned back on her hands against the ground. "yeah. I'm glad you're my friend Ala. I love talking to you." she smiled.
"I'm glad you are my friend as well" she said with a smile glancing down at her son who was on his belly "Erm... I don't remember putting him like that.." she said pointing at her son
Dia looked to Surion. "Can he flip himself?"
"Not that I know of as yet...." Ala said still staring at her son
"so...maybe he's figured it out?" Dia asked, leaning forward to watch Surion.
Ala grinned "Perhaps he has, such a good little man" she said
"so is this...like a milestone or something?" Dia chuckled.
Ala grinned "Yeah it would be" she purred softly
"Woohoo!!!" Dia raised her arms and cheered, mindful to not be too loud. "so when's going to start just racing around the place?"
Ala laughed "I don't know Dia, but I'll let you know when he does"
Dia chuckled. "He's growing fast."
"Not as fast as the twins did" she said with a grin
Dia laughed, "true that." She stretched her legs out in front of her and sort of just lounged on the grass.
"Was there anything else you needed to ask me about?" she asked looking up at her
Dia smiled, "Actually...yeah. I was wondering if you'd want to help me fly."
"Course I would" Ala said smiling widely
Dia grinned. "You're the best, Ala!"
Ala laughed "Dunno bout best but I'd love to fly with you and to do that you have to be able to do it"
Dia stood up and stretched her wings out. "I've it figured out, I think....I mean, so I don't hit the ground."
Ala nodded "I'm glad you got past your fear to start to learn" she said looking up at her
Dia grinned down at Ala. "watch" Dia held her hand to her face, curling her last 2 fingers down and suddenly there was a swirl of Shadows and Dia seemed to just disappear. The dark swirly shadow floated to the ground and a finger snap was heard. The shadows dissipated revealing Dia sitting cross legged on the ground. "poor demonstration...but I was figuring it could soften the blow if I lose control."
Ala smiled "Seems like a good start"
"ala...this is going to sound bad...but I don't even know how to lift myself off...even if I flap hard."
Ala tapped her chin "You don't really have to flap hard it's more a matter of angle and using the air below your wings"
Dia crooked her head. "huh...I didn't know that." She stood up and extended her wings once more. "So what do I do?"
"Make sure you have the pressure of the air below your wings, it doesn't cause lift if all you are doing is cutting through the air like a knife through butter"
Dia looked to either side at her wings and angled them in a little bit and flapped down. She lifted just a couple inches before setting back down. "whoa!"
Ala smiled "A good start" she nodded
Dia beamed at Ala. "That was...easy." She tried again, flapping a couple more times, lifting further up."
Ala grinned happily "There ya go, now you are catching on to it"
Dia set back down by slowing the flapping. "so...how do I...hold at one height?"
Ala looked down at her son then got up "That one is harder to describe" she said letting her wings loose. She pulled herself into the air and hovered making small circles in the air with her wings that held her fairly steady "When I did most of my learning I was above the water of the ocean so I didn't have to worry about how I landed "
Dia watched Ala's wings then tried to mimic the motion. She got up a few feet, and wobbled quite a bit before slowing down and landing again.
"Practice is what it's going to take, took me several falls before I got it too." she landed softly
Dia nodded. "yeah, I figured as much." She looked straight up into the air. "part of me wants to see how high I can go, the other part is threatening to cut me off completely if I do." she chuckled.
Ala chuckled "Your fear of heights is something you will have to conquer"
Dia nodded. "yeah...whoda thunk someone with wings was afraid of falling."
"Actually that is a pretty reasonable fear. Especially if you aren't used to flying or being up in the air" She nodded
Dia smiled, " I suppose it is." She sat back down across from ala and watched Surion for a bit. "will he get wings?"
"He might, he might not. It's severe stress that causes change in our kind." Ala said folding her wings and sitting back down
Dia nodded. "I see. I don't know if it was coincidence or stress that caused my wings to sprout, but they came when I was captive. My other features just seem to ... change gradually on their own."
Ala nodded "Hard to say, I really don't know enough about your kind to make that call"
"Mom says we're creatures of change and adaptation...so things will always change. She thinks the wings came because I was in dire need of them. Little help they gave since I didn't know how to use them." she grumbled lightly
Ala smiled softly "It's always possible" she said softly
Dia nodded. "yeah. Although I have to admit, I kinda like them now. I hated them at first, but its neat to have something everyone envies. I thought people here would be mean about it."
Ala smiled "Times have changed and I think this village has too"
Dia nodded. "Its about time. Its nice to see things progressing."
Ala chuckled "You think they would have if Kal hadn't decided to be a mischief maker?"
"never...things would be still stuck in the ancient days." she chuckled.
Ala laughed "Mind you some of the problems that have arisen probably would never have happened either"
Dia laughed. "you win some, you lose some. I'm very confident that when the final conflict occurs, we'll be ready and will come out victorious."
"You bet, this village has advanced far beyond when they last came!"
"Yup, and there are SO many Shinobi in Academy right now, its like, everyone wants to support the village. I'm proud of the people."
"You have every right to be" Ala said with a nod
Dia smiled. "someday there'll be peace and we won't need such tight security around here. Although...I have to admit, I love the safe feeling being inside the village."
"After your experiences That doesn't shock me" she chuckled
Dia nodded. "I just wish I could go where I wanted, when I could. I know Asy said he'd take me anywhere I want to go...I just hate bothering him all the time."
"Maybe you could ask him to teach you how to navigate the Nether?" Ala suggested
Dia looked at Ala..."you think I could do it? Its... far to complicated, isn't it?"
"If Torvil can learn it, I think you could too... Might take a while but I think you could you are a smart person" she nodded
Dia smiled, "thanks, Ala. Maybe I will ask him when I see him again."
Ala nodded "Course, it only makes sense really, especially who you are compared to him"
Dia smiled. "yeah."
Ala chuckled "Kinda like me learning more about my mate's kind regardless of the fact I've become one myself"
Dia chuckled. "yeah, I suppose it is...Ala, can I ask you a hypothetical question. I know you probably don't know...but I was curious your opinion."
Ala nodded "course you can"
"Asy said his kind changed, because of the Nether. He said he used to have green eyes like his mom. So my question is...if we have children...do you think they'll look like him now, or...before?"
"Hard to say, they may look like he did back then, they might look like him now it's truly hard to say"
Dia nodded. "I don't care either way, its just one of those things I was thinking too much on."
"and to think you are already thinking of children" Ala smirked
Dia blushed. "No.. I..." she sighed. "The thought had crossed my mind...but I want to enjoy my youth first."
ala chuckled "There's no harm in thinking about them"
Dia smiled. "Yeah...Its fun to think about sometimes, but then when I think about the realities of it, it snaps me out of that fantasy." she chuckled.
la laughed "Hey I can't say the same I'm happy to be a mother"
"I'm sure you are...and I'm sure I will be when it happens. But...I feel too young still. I mean, I only just started maturing." she laughed.
Ala chuckled "Whenever you feel ready my friend, that's when you will have them"
Dia nodded. "yeah, it'll happen when its fated for me. I don't worry about it that much. Like I said, I just think too much." she chuckled.
Ala chuckled running a hand down her son's back "It's a blessing though, when you decide to"
Dia grinned. "until then, there's always Surion." she chuckled.
"There certainly is considering he is your god-son" she grinned
Dia smiled, "so what exactly doing being a god-mum entail? I mean, I know its quite and honor, and I'm very glad you chose me....but...is there other stuff I shoudl know or do?"
Ala chuckled "Not really you are just here for him to help support him and encourage him through his life, and should anything happen to myself and Torvil not tha tI anticipate it would, he would live with you"
Dia nodded. "note to self, bump off ala and Torvil." she whispered and made shifty eyes while chuckling lightly. "I mean, I understand. That's cool."
Ala reached over and swatted her friend "Brat"
Dia laughed and rubbed her arm. "I'd never do that. I just like getting a rise out of you sometimes."
Ala laughed "just don't say that around Torvil"
"he wouldn't think I was kidding, huh?"
"He's very protective of me and the children is more it" she said with a nod
Dia nodded. "gotcha...no sense of humor." she joked.
"Not regarding our safety he doesn't unfortunately" she gave a wry smile
"Like I could do anything anyways." Dia mused. "but I know what you are saying...no joking with Torvil."
"Oh you can joke with him, just not about the safety of the family" she said
Dia nodded.
Ala sighed softly "So what else should we do"
"not sure really...if you still have to kill, I'm sure we could find something. how's things been going with you lately?"
Ala chuckled "Things have been going well, the men returned from the hunt early so we came home early Surion is getting bigger, Torvil was still asleep when I left... which I kinda found odd...." she mused
"does he normally not sleep?"
Ala shook her head "Not this long no... I'm going to be a bit concerned if he's still asleep when I get home"
"Maybe he snuck of with Asy somewhere." Dia chuckled.
Ala chuckled "If he did he wouldn't be laying in the bed"
"He could have gone off somewhere, then came back and went back to sleep...you'd never know." Dia chuckled. "I'm sorry Ala, I'm just in a giddy mood I think."
Ala laughed "I suppose you never know... why are you so giddy?"
"I'm not sure actually. Just how I feel lately." Dia chuckled.
Ala laughed "twiterpated" she smirked
Dia's cheeks turned a little red and she chuckled. "You think so, eh?"
"Think? forget think... I know so" she winked
Dia laughed. "I suppose so. He makes me feel good about things." she said with a happy sigh.
"Mates should be able to do that" Ala said with a nod picking up Surion to rock him in her arms
"Even though its only been less than a day, I miss him. Is that normal?" Dia said, her cheeks still red.
Ala nodded "Yup, it is" Ala smiled
Dia chuckled and smiled. "Its nice...to be in love." she said quietly, "I need to make sure I thank Torvil." she giggled.
Ala laughed "I don't think he takes credit, I think he was kinda shocked actually"
Dia laughed. "When I think about it, it shocks me too."
Ala chuckled "You know I should really check on him... Torvil that is... " she started gathering her stuff
Dia stood to help Ala, "Ok. Well, I'm glad you came today Ala."
"I am too and I'm glad I didn't have to put a leash on your Balan and drag her here, almost thought I was going to have to"
Dia chuckled and glanced over to Sabi who had curled up around Dizzy and was sleeping soundly. "I appreciate you bring her home." Dia approached Ala to give her a hug
Ala nodded and returned the hug before placing Surion in his carrier and unfurling her wings
"Have a good flight home, Ala. I'll see you soon!" Dia said as she watched Ala get ready to go.
"I will see you next time, and tell Kal for me I'll poke back later I'm a bit concerned about my mate" she said then lifted off and headed out of the trees and towards the mountain
