The receptionist led Dia and Ala down the hallway to one of the birthing rooms. Before they opened the door, Dia turned to Ala, "Is this what you want?" She said gently.

Ala looked up at Dia, her eyes held a mix of discomfort, pain and questioning to Dia's question

"For your baby to be born here, I mean."

"Yeah, child is coming regardless where I go, but least here I in company of my closest friend and family and people who know my kind... or at least what my kind was..." She nodded taking a deep breath

Dia smiled and nodded, and opened the door to allow the nurse to push the wheelchair into a very large, white room. There was a very large tub, sunken into the floor, and water filled it to the floor level.

"Looks welcoming somehow" she said with a chuckle unsure exactly what she had to do.

"Just wait in here for a moment, Dr. Garyuu will be in to let you know what to do." the receptionist said as she left the room, closing the door behind her

Ala looked up at her friend after the receptionist left "Well certainly not how I expected to have my day go..." she gave her a weak smile

Dia chuckled, "Mine either."

Ika returned a few minutes later, smiling. "Good afternoon Ala. So I see your baby has decided to come meet mom and dad today." she chuckled.

Ala nodded "Yeah, I guess it decided it liked what it heard you say last time I was in Kazeha" she chuckled softly

Ika smiled. "Well, I'd like to get you into the water as soon as possible, so you can relax, and have some of the pressure eased. Here's top to put on. once you get it on go ahead and crawl into the water, there's a bench in the tub to sit on as well. I'll come and check on you in just a few minutes." She handed a white shimmering looking garment that had sleeves, but only was long enough to cover from the breasts up. "do you have any questions?"

"I think its for modesty, mainly." Dia whispered.

Ala shook her head "No questions" she said taking the top from Ika. She looked at her friend "I'll probably need your help though"

Ika nodded and left the room. "holler if you need anything." and she closed the door behind her.

Dia turned to Ala, " That is a weird ... top." she said looking at it very curiously.

"I could be nude for I care" she said with a chuckled working on her current top

Dia helped Ala remove her top. "you know, I'm sure you don't have to wear it if you don't want to." She said, holding her hand out to help Ala stand up.

Ala reached and took her hand pulling up her other hand working on her bottoms and shows using Dia as support "Water is a natural habitat for me I think I will, after all I'm sure the staff here has seen nude people and I KNOW Torvil has, only other person would be you, less you have a problem with it...." She looked over at her friend

Dia smiled, "not at all, I've got the same parts, and its not like I've never seen them." She chuckled, helping her friend still.

Ala laughed shaking her wet pants and her shoes off then with Dia's help headed for that inviting water

Dia helped walk Ala to the water and held her for extra support as she crawled in.

The water enveloped Ala and she felt in her natural space "Feels really nice in here.." she said sitting on a bench and leaning against the side

Dia just squat down at the edge of the tub. "You feel better being in there?"

"A little, though I'm sure that's not going to last too long...." She looked up at her

Dia smiled, "can I get you anything? Anything at all?"

Ala shook her head "Your company is suffice" she turned on the bench crossing her arms resting them on the edge of the tub and resting her head on her arms with her eyes shut

Dia plopped down on her butt where she was squatting and sat cross-legged watching her friend. This was going to be interesting as she's never even been in a birthing room, let alone seen a birth.

*MEANWHILE AT ALA & TORVIL'S HOME*

Selene saw the shop and house on the horizon as she flew towards home

Torvil was pacing. He had been on edge all day since Ala left, he had the strangest feeling that he should have gone with her... But he'd had to finish some things up and now that he was done he was thinking of going on over to Kazeha...

Selene landed and walked into the house, she'd not been there more then once in the previous month. Pushing her hair over her shoulder she set about finding her father

Torvil heard the door open. "Ala?" He called out questioningly, heading for the front of the house. He was worried.

"Dad?" she followed his voice and walked into the front room, her wings still unfurled from her flight

Okay, something was wrong... and for the first time in Torvil's life he actually swore at his wife, even if she wasn't there. He should never have let her go alone, even if it was just to visit Dia. "Selene?" His voice dripped worry.

"There you are, let's go.... " she said grabbing his hand and heading for the door without a word of explanation

"Whoa! Wait, what's going on... Is there something wrong with your mother?" His voice was definitely on the verge of panic.

"You're gonna be a father again dad... " she said almost exasperated, but then she wasn't entirely thinking about the fact she hadn't told him why she was there to begin with

Torvil blinked. "Let go, I can get there faster myself..." He said pulling away from her grasp, being stronger.

"No... You aren't using the other side dad I wont let you, Mom told me what happened last time" she reached and grabbed his hand again

Torvil growled. "Selene... I'm going to do it the right way... I've already promised your mother that I won't straight jump... If I fly there's a good chance I'll miss it... And I can't handle that... So don't try me..." He pulled away again.

"And you think I wanna miss it either dad? I'm about to become not the youngest of this family" she glared at him

Torvil frowned. "Selene, honey..." He sighed. "I'm going to do it this way... Hate me for it later... But I have to get to Ala now..." He closed he eyes getting ready.

She threw herself at him wrapping her arms around him she said she was going to bring him back, she would be damned if he arrived without her

Torvil did the only thing he could do, he moved his hand to burry his daughter's face into his chest, and shifted them.

The twisted nether, as it was called, is one of the many embodiments of Chaos... Torvil watched it streak by his eyes at a lighting pace, and refused to let his mind try to understand the twists and turns and complexities... To do so was to go insane...

They ended up on the Other side, Torvil's face set, and holding Selene too him in a vice grip. "Please tell me you had your eyes shut..." He panted softly.

"Mom told me you make her ... so yes..." she said

Torvil nodded catching his breath and preparing himself mentally for the next shift. "Sorry..." He whispered. "But Ala comes first..." He whispered. "Actually you kids do... Danger wise... But right now Ala is my top priority..."

"Mom is important to me too, I didn't even leave via the gates and I let my wings loose in front of someone I never had before to come and get you.... " Selene mumbled into his chest

Torvil brushed her hair. "Eyes shut..." He kissed the top of her head and shifted...

The second trip was harder, due to the charm on Kazeha, it made the nether bunch around it, making it rather thick and easily visible. Torvil had to strain extra hard, but finally he had them outside the hospital. He panted and shivered.

Selene held him she hadn't even opened her eyes in the other side she wasn't sure if they were there or not

We're here... Now take me to Ala..." He said softly, stroking his daughter's hair.

"Uhm I don't know exactly where she is, Cariss came and found me at home and I left from there, they had been at the Umaki's so uhm they might still be there, on way here or ... in there" she jut her thumb to the doors of the hospital

Torvil nodded and let her go, heading in. Some one was bound to know where his wife was... And god help the poor soul who tried to stop him.
